Our pup loves getting all the peanut butter out of these!

We used to get the red kongs forever, but our boxer would still tear the rubber along the edges of the openings and we'd find little red specks everywhere (including her bowel movements!). Luckily they came out with these black ones that are much more durable and she is not able to tear them.

Our 8 month old puppy is a chew maniac. Loves 2 other kongs we had for some time but eventually chewed through them both. Did some research and ordered these black ones because they’re rated strongest. was disappointed after a week he had managed to chew apart one. The rubber used IS impressively hard and I don’t blame Kong it’s just tough to find things he can chew on that he doesn’t destroy. Nonetheless, we’ll stick w/ Kong because what they do to distract our dog and give him something constructive to do is worth it. Just don’t expect these to be chew-proof. We’ve learned w/ this and many other toys and beds nothing is chew proof if you have an aggressive chewer.

My little dog was a chewer and would ruin any toy in 5 minutes or less. He has played with this toy for hours and still no chew marks, He even takes it to bed with him. Another little dog that I have just carries it around with him and just holds in his mouth. The love it and so do I as they have stopped chewing on other stuff.

My dog chews through everything it seems. We always watch him when he has a toy (as you should) because he seems to destroy it no matter what the toy company claims - “indestructible”, “tear proof”, “chew proof”, etc. we finally found that only the black Kongs are really tough for him. He is just over a year old. He is a chihuahua terrier mix. He will chew on it without treats in it or if we put peanut butter in it. We like to put peanut butter, stick some of his kibble to the peanut butter, Add a little more peanut butter and then freeze. When he needs to chill out from being a little “too puppy”, we give it to him. This is great esp in the summer in MS. We always watch him with it still, but we know he has a tougher time tearing a Kong up.

Our 8 month old beagle chewed this Kong up in a week. He has not been able to damage the Kong black ball at all. Might try that one. 😊

The media could not be loaded. This kong is very durable. I have a heavy chewer that chews through everything. I stuff this with softened food mixed with a little water and covered with peanut butter. Then I put it into the freezer. My pup stays busy for hours trying to get the food out.
