I purchase this to use when traveling. It’s important to have a carbon monoxide monitoring device because many hotels don’t have them. I haven’t had any alarms go off, which is a good thing! Before I used it, I tested the alarm, which is very loud. It’s easy to use, I simply place it on a table inside the hotel room. The device is sturdy and is of good quality. The price was very reasonable. Another option when not traveling, if you don’t have one in your home or apartment, use it!

This CO detector was perfect for travel!! Hubby uses a C-PAP machine, so I’m super careful! This detector is small and can be placed on a night stand. I just carried the unit and the battery separately in my tech pack with cords and chargers, etc. It beeps once when inserting the battery, and it does its thing. It has a test button and clear instructions for interpreting the colored lights. Really- can’t say enough about how much better I’ve felt bring this along on vacation. Certainly worth it for the peace of mind!

Effective, always at work. Had to have my roof replaced, one of the many questions asked was "do I own a carbon monoxide detector." I proudly said "I do!"

I bought one of these to bring with me when I travel – a lot of places I stay don't have CO detectors and I don't necessarily trust them to keep their appliances in good order. Looks nice, small and very lightweight, can easily stand up on your bedside table, seems to work. Haven't detected any CO yet, so can't promise anything there.Minus one star, however, because of a “feature” that prevents the battery compartment door from shutting unless you have a battery in it. I can understand why they added this, and for most people it's probably not even noticeable; it's probably a good idea for it to be annoying to not replace the battery if this is hung on the wall in your home. But given that there's no power switch (also expected and a good idea), it's obviously appropriate to take the battery out when I travel with it – the last thing I want is for my 90dB CO alarm to go off in my bag because the TEST button got depressed, and I'm not going to forget to put the battery in when I set it up. Having to carry the battery door separately from the rest of the alarm, or carefully press the tab down with a pencil to close it, is unnecessarily annoying.Not a dealbreaker – this alarm seemed the best in terms of size, weight, and general design for travel, and I'm not sure I'd pick a different one if I started over ­– but something to keep in mind.

Easy to activate. Battery nice because it can be removed.

So great to have when we travel. Easy to not worry about just uses a battery. If we do fly I take out battery just for safety. Love that I can move were I need to in home.

This is a plug and play unit plus what is nice they supply a template for you to use if you want to use the included screws that they supply with the unit. Long battery life so I won’t have to worry about replacing it for a while.
