Dorfman Pacific Fishing Hat with Removable Neck Flap (One Size, Cream)

This is a great hat. The length of the brim is a bit longer than standard (about 8 cm.), but that's the ideal length if you want good protection from the sun for your face, while not having the brim stick out too much to the front. The materials are durable and breathable. Might be a bit heavy for some, but that's a testament to the good fabrics. The brim is not flexible - but that's a design choice, and you can look elsewhere for a foldable one. The only "flaw" is that for me, personally, the hat does not sit low enough - my head circumference is 60 cm., so this might be a bit on the above-average circumferences for heads. However my wife fixed this by sewing an additional flexible strap at the back, see photos. So now the hat fits snug, with the back band under my small ponytail, and I use it for all outdoor activities in our strong desert sun. I don't use the detachable knape for the back of the neck, so can't attest to that. I'd buy it again.

Nice light material with a large peak which gives excellent shading, the removable flap is just heavy enough to stay put in moderate wind, does the job of protecting the back of you neck from the sun. The size is adjustable and fitted my big head of 24 inches without adjusting. Don't think it's waterproof but then again it's a sun hat not a rain hat, 10/10

Strong, fits well even in a breeze and privides sun protection with its extended bill. I’ve now ordered 3 so one is always clean.

I bought this hat because an earlier reviewer said it fit his large head. On my head, the fit was initially tight, but it stretched out over time to where it is comfortable. The long bill provides good shading for your eyes in the sun. The flap is long enough to do a good job, and it's lightweight and easy to flip into position when you put the hat on. The cap is light fabric, so the cap is cool to wear in the sun. After wearing it for a few days on vacation, I really like it. It's light and flexible, so it packs flat in a suitcase.

My husband and I do a lot of outside activities so this hat seemed like a good purchase to make. We didn't get it for fishing though, but I'm certain it would be good for that too. My husband wore it all weekend when we were flagging at the race track. His face was covered by the longer than usual bill and his neck didn't have any sun on it to burn. He's not very good at reapplying sunscreen and it never fails that he usually burns his ears, neck and face after a day of sun. He told me it worked great and I believe it was a good purchase!
