Wireless Charging Battery Cover for Samsung Galaxy S5 with Wireless Charging Pad (Black)

I just received this and I have to say I'm very pleased.This is NOT the battery cover with the wireless reciever AND built in battery, which is why it's not $129.99.This is is a battery cover with a built in Qi/wireless charging receiver ONLY. You will still need to have your regular battery in the phone.And it can't be an extended battery either. This cover will not fit over a battery that is bigger then the stock one.All this does is enable you to charge without buying a separate Qi receiver module.It's heavier then the regular battery cover so it feels very substantial. It does feel like it adds a significant amount of heft to the phone. It's also thicker, and my slip cases will not fit over it.Overall, I like it for what it does, and i can live with it not fitting in my slip case.

It does NOT provide waterproof seal & it adds thickness so that my case has problemsIt does work well, especially in conjunction with charging pad that came with it (had to adjust car charger as it's coils are located different than my 'insert card'.. I also seem to have an issue with 'charging back contacts' ... on my car wireless it disconect/reconnects frequenty on road bounces ..... could be other issues, but it doesn't do it with my other phone on mountNot sure I'd buy it over the insert charging card now that I know issues, but not complaining & it came with the pad that I also wanted

The well made Tudia TPU case fits perfectly the Galaxy S5 with the wireless charging back cover made by Techbaum, which by the way is an excellent alternative to the Samsung replacement cover for about 1/3 the price. The Techbaum replacement cover works. I've tried one of the inexpensive thin antennas you stick to the battery under the original cover and could get it to work. The Diztronic matte black TPU is made for the standard back that is thinner, so it doesn't fit properly - I tried it. I have no problems charging the phone wirelessly through this case with the wireless pad that came with the Techbaum rear cover, a generic stand-up wireless charger and another generic wireless pad I bought locally. Good stuff I would recommend for converting the Samsung Galaxy S5 to wireless charging. I also recommend the oversize belt case by zoomazig-access that I found. All these products except the locally purchased charging pad were purchased through Amazon. A

I waited about a month to review, all is very good. The cover snapped on easily, and it charges fine. I have a QI charging pad in my vehicle (Toyota), and also now at my desk with the one included in this order. It does charge slower than when plugged into an outlet, but not a lot slower, and it charges well faster than when plugged into a USB port. It does generate some heat when charging, but not much if the phone is not in a cover - it only becomes slightly warm. When the phone is in a cover, it seems that the heat generated is retained more, and it does feel warmer.All in all this item does exactly what I hoped it would do, was very simple to set up and very simple to use.

Works well. Seems to run cooler than the original Samsung charging back I had (which a defective wall charger and Qi pad burned out). But this one has no watertight seal and is made of a more brittle plastic than the Samsung charging back. I have to be very careful when I remove it to change the battery. It also has a slight bulge and doesn't quite lie flat like the original charging back. But overall it does the job and I'm satisfied with it.

Does not fit snugly on the back, ie doesn't snap into place tightly. Therefore the edges chip off too easily. Within 30 days the edges were so chipped off that It isn't usable at all. After using heavy tape and rubber bands, I decided It wasn't worth the hassle and called it a loss. So although I have a nice wireless charger base, the phone cannot be wirelessly charged. I suggest you try it under the 30 day return policy. Maybe you will have better luck than I. I am so bummed that this didn't work out.

Purchased March 22, 2017. Battery cover is still going strong but pops off easily. The charger died after less than 2 months. I didn't use it full time because I also bought the Samsung charger and used both. The Samsung charger is still working.

Just got it and it works as advertised....with the enclosed wireless charger and with my other wireless chargers. Also works with my wireless charger in the car.
