what a difference 5 minutes makes, even 2 years later
I have a 2012 sienna and the bug deflector went on in less than 5 minutes, and I timed it. I had read other reviews and was a bit worried but it was a perfect fit. arrived in perfect condition, excellent instructions. looks great and will do the job for years to come. some others have commented on the plastic plug/screws that hold it on, yes they could be a bit better, but it is on firm and tight and after miles of highway driving it still is tight. i will check them when i refill the washer fluid, but i dont have any fears. Great price and it looks awesome on my Sienna.UPDATE: It is 2 years now and the unit is still on and looking great. It has survived ice and snow and car washes without fading or cracking or falling off. What I do is check every oil change to make sure the locking pins are pushed in tight, that is it. Great product and it keeps on looking great with no issues at all on my 2012 Sienna.

I love this hood shield!
Perfect for my 2014 Sienna! Now i don't have to worry about getting dings and small chips in my hood with this thing attach.Very easy to install no need for sticking the shield with tape. It is securely mounted in 4 holes under the hood.I live in AZ and the roads/freeways always have small rocks flying around the causes dings, dents, worse cracked windshield. Now my windshield doesn't caught as many bug splatters as it use to be and lessen the chances of getting my windshield damage with small rocks. Excellent hood shield to protect your investment.

Loved It, looks Awesome.
I really liked this accessory for my Sienna, the order arrived earlier than expected, so that's a positive point first of all. Second, the only thing that i didn't like but it isn't something to care about, was the package, the box that this came in is really huge, like 3 times the length of the accessory, i don't live inside the US, so i have to order everything to a courier, then they ship it to my country, and i have to pay for the weight of the package, so, in this case, i had to pay 7 pounds for something that is only like a pound, just because of the package, but as i said before, for the people that live inside us, there's nothing to care about. The install was so easy, and it fits my vehicle perfeclty, just love it right now.

Excellent Shield, But Installation Could Have Been Better
Let me get to the point. The problem with this hood shield is that the instructions are horrible. It stated you should put the screws together with its sheathe to install into the holes on the underside of the hood. However, you are really supposed to put the sheathe separate, in between the hood and the installation side of the shield, and then screw them together. I did not find this out until much trial and error, resulting in one lost screw/sheathe set because it kept falling out while I was trying to screw it together per the instructions, and one set fell into the engine compartment and lost to the void.As for the shield itself, it's very stylish, and practical. It's a semi-flexible hard plastic material, and it's very thoughtful of them to provide 4 rubber stoppers to stick to your hood to prevent scratches from any accidental bumps. With the shield on, it gives the new Sienna an even more menacing look.A small quibble is they also give you a very campy logo sticker for you to put on the shield to advertise their brand. On the shield itself is already an embossed logo, but thankfully it is transparent enough so that you won't notice it unless you're really up close. IT's a good thing they give you a semi-choice; I recommend you leave the shield commando style as the logo sticker takes away that dark menacing look the shield has.

Impressed with the quality, look and the customer service - Five-star
Just purchased 2017 Sienna, this is a great addition and a nice investment. My wife and kids love the look. I lost a fastener but the customer service promptly responded and send me another hardware kit. I'm very impressed with their prompt and kind service. Money well spent!!

Never seen a worse mounting system
I have installed many bug deflectors/ hood shields in my time. As a mechanic, I have never seen a model with a worse, cheaper, poor design style mounting screw system. Of the 4 plastic expansion screws fasteners not one of them would tighten properly. I had to modify and use metal screws inside the plastic expansion pieces to get a decent mount. The deflector itself is ok, design, mount hole line up. I would never purchase this brand again because of the mounting hassle. I have used this brand in the past and this was not a issue. Something has changed with mount screws. It turned a 5 minute job into a 30 minute job. For someone who is not mechanically inclined and wants a simple no hassle install this is not the one to get.I have also contacted Auto Ventshade with my issues with mounting.

Not the typical AVS quality here
Bought one for my 2011 4Runner a couple years ago, the thing fit like a glove and had all the proper clips and plugs to make the installation a 5 minute job, still works perfectly on that vehicle.Decided to go with AVS for our new (to us) van, a 2013 Toyota Sienna XLE. Got the humongous box in with this tiny deflector in it, opened it up and went to do the installation, recalling how simple it was with the last bug shield I installed.Got it on the van, went to pop the plastic clips in the holes, they're the wrong size! The clips are way too small to clamp into the metal of the vehicle's hood!Luckily, I had a bag of new clips from another vehicle that fit perfectly, but anyone who buys this bug shield for their Sienna will be annoyed that they'll either have to contact AVS for new clips or head to the parts store to find something that will work. For reference, I've included a photo of what AVS supplied (the two-part clip on the left), and the clip that I ended up using (2-part clip on the right).Other than that, it works okay, wish it covered more of the edge of the van's hood, there's more than enough metal under the hood to attach a wider shield that would cover the whole edge of the hood. Now thinking of installing clear bra film to protect the exposed areas.
