Tools for iPhone and most of phone

I bought this set because I had to repair the digitizer on my HTC Incredible and after receiving it in the mail I was worried because of all the bad reviews that I was reading on it, but using the T6 driver to remove and replace 4 screws it worked without a hitch, no damage to the driver like other people have been having! My only complain about this order is that I placed the order with other stuff making the total over $25 for free shipping and while shipping was paid on the driver set when my local post office received the package they wouldn't deliver it due to insufficient postage?! I had to pony up another $1.29 to get my driver set because the shipper did not pay enough postage for it to be delivered! (Apparently they paid 44 cents postage, but that is only if the letter envelope is flat, which obviously this one wasn't so it should of cost the shipper more) Other than that it worked just as I had hoped!

I purchased this set to make a small repair to a blackberry smartphone. Other kits of this type have an acrylic 3 point "wedge" type splitter tool but I found that it is not needed because of the included splitters in this particular kit. This kit worked out very well for the repair I needed to make. The 5 point TORX micro drivers are good quality and did not bend or otherwise get damaged during removal of the screws. They are magnetic as well which is good because the screws they fit are extremely small. The blue splitter tools are a hard acrylic plastic and the tips are durable but not indestructible. This kit should only be used to make repairs to extremely small electronic devices such as smartphones, PDA's etc. Shipment of this kit can be done via USPS without any hassles and the kit itself comes in a small zip-loc bag for storage. I believe it is safe to say that this micro tool kit can be used in a professional or at-home setting.

Hard to tell which tool is which when it comes to the Torx screwdrivers. They are not marked. The set worked okay, but they aren't the best tools and will probably only hold up to a few tight screws. After that, you'll start stripping screwdrivers.All in all, customer service was wonderful. They sent me the wrong set and corrected the problem fairly quickly. I added a star for the customer service. The tools are just your average tools. They did work as intended.

Guys I am going to be honest with you....... The Pry tool that comes with this is not that sturdy, so if you are doing is for a profession not for you. So if you have a cracked screen or anything that you want to fix on a phone... this the best buy for you money. This company did not send me the right stuff at first, but we must remember that there are people just like us filling the order for millions if not more a day. So when I got the wrong stuff amazon asked me to e-mail them and allow them to fix the problem and they did, they not only sent me one, but two sets so I was ok with that.. So in conclusion. This is perfect to purchase if you are fixing something once or twice. I would suggest this company to anyone.

This kit is awesome and a wonderful start. However if you have an HTC phone you will also need a incredibly small phillips screw driver. I bought this kit because it made it sound like you would be set and ready to start disassembling your phone when you got it, which is true, I however got about half way through pulling my phone apart when I realized I needed an extra tool. I would still recommend this product if you already had a small screwdriver set but I would have like to know this information before I got to the step and needed the extra tool.

The product arrived on time and was packaged well. The screwdrivers worked as they were supposed to but the pry bars were a tad weak as others have stated. Despite this you can get around it and still repair your phone, just be careful of the tools chipping.The company selling these tools was also very helpful, after sending them a message they were more than happy to resolve my issues and followed up on their product very well. I was impressed as it isn't often you see such a proactive company when ordering something online. I would highly recommend ordering from them.

As you may or may not know, an iPhone 2G is a total pain in the ass to take apart. The tools I received includedTwo of those three tipped triangle things. One big and one small.Two TORX screwdrivers of two different sizes. One larger than the other.And lastly, two of those standard case opener tools, again, one larger than the other.I made the mistake of using the smaller case opener tool first. The head snapped right off. Not a problem, seeing as how the other was larger and more durable. This one got the job done really easily. Just popped the back case right off. :DOverall, the product is great. I only broke one of the case opener tools because I used it improperly. I definitely recommend.

I used the kit to try to repair the storm 9550 screen but the replacement screen and digitizer I purchased already came with its own set of tools. The pry tool worked with opening areas like the housing and the lens cover after repeated attempts. Before I was finished using it though, the tip began to wear down and I couldn't use it because it was so dull. The screwdrivers worked well and didn't make me work too hard to remove screws. Overall, a decent set and mostly effective.
