The is LIFE!!!
I have never written a review for any product (never) but this one deserves a review -a great review. This little hot pink scooter (Scootie) paid for it’s self within the first hour of owning it. I had foot surgery and no weight bearing for at least 2 weeks. When I got home from the surgery I used crutches to get in house. The pain from having to hang my foot all the way down made me sick to my stomach. Scootie to the rescue!!!Pros: easy to use / easy set up -(couple snaps and one pin and done) super sturdy/ not to heavy, brakes well, basket helps me keep things in reach /get things and bring back to couch,Cons: none as far as I am concernedOther reviews say:1. It is hard to turn -any scooter is gonna be hard to maneuver in a house. I just pick it up /swing it around corners -small thing for my independence.2. Brakes hard to push. I have not had any problems with brake -squeeze the handleall the way and push lock button. Squeeze again and it unlocks. Not rocket science3. Rough when going over bumps/carpet -it is a scooter -150.00 scooter. It is not a Mercedes. I simply ease it over the bump/ edge of carpet.4. Not good on streets/side walks. I have used mine on my patio with no problem. As I mentioned before it is a 150.00 scooter -it is not made to use on trails -go long distances allday every day.Get a trail rates one if that is what you plan on using it for.5. Seat is firm -buy the sheep skin cover / pad makes all the difference in the world. This scooter had made a difficult situation bearable. I return to work in 2 weeks and Scootie will be right there with me!!

Really wonderful scooter
Long story short, broke an ankle, needed a knee scooter. Bought this one after checking reviews and so glad I did. Being a klutz, but still a girl, I wanted the bright pink one. Really super sturdy, easy to attach the handle and seat, no tools needed. Plenty of adjustments on both the handle and seat for height. Basket was included, just slides on with two built in clips. You can remove it in 2 seconds if you want it off. Comfortable, soft seat for the broken leg, built to use for either left or right, no adjustments needed. One caveat, this thing really moves on smooth surfaces. This scooter is built like an old time bicycle, very sturdy metal all over. Tires are solid, do not inflate. I didn't need it to go on trails, so I opted for this one without the air. Just another thing to go wrong. Glad to have the brake when someone walks out in front of you! Try not to go too fast, an accident can happen on any of these things. It's certainly not a toy! We have a paver driveway, so nothing is smooth on there, although it is still serviceable. I also tricked it out with the hot pink dual cup holder,ASIN: B01B3MZ5NA. It comes in a lot of colors and in no way will ever fall off. At first I thought it was broken, but you have to push Really Hard on the cups to open the clamp. One of the cup holders is slightly under the brake lever if you have it on straight, so I use that one for the cell phone, glasses, etc. and use a big cup on the other side. You can push it around so you can fit two big cups, but I don't like things off center....my own demon! Fits a lot of 32-44 oz. insulated cups. Hope this helps!

Very safe and sturdy scooter!
I love this Knee Rover scooter!!! The knee seat is very comfortable, the basket is so handy, the scooter is easy to maneuver and the ride is smooth. BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY it is very sturdy and safe. The most important feature is It has a stop on the steering frame that stops the front wheels from turning too sharp and causing it to flip. Before I bought this scooter, I borrowed a different brand scooter from a neighbor. It did not have the steering stop and I flipped it twice in just a few days causing great pain to my broken foot. I was very lucky I didn’t break another bone. This Knee Rover is safe and sturdy and it will not turn too sharp causing it to flip. It is very safe. I highly recommend this scooter.

Advice from my ankle surgery
If you are having ankle surgery and will be non-weight bearing, I have some advice from my experience that might make your life easier. For starters, everyone is talking about the turn radius of this scooter and they are right. 3 point turn? More like 15 point turn. It is great for navigating the house, but the bathroom and tight spaces are difficult. It also is a tipping hazard, so watch for rocks, carpet, anything that the wheels could catch on. But the basket is incredibly handy and the brakes are strong and I use them for stability when navigating uneven surfaces. Great scooter for the price, and the cushion is comfortable. Also, I would skip the crutches and invest in some good knee pads and a walker. The walker is for when you place 25%, 50%, 75% weight (which is harder to do with crutches). You will also be crawling around a lot more than you think. Knee pads just make life easier when your scooter can’t navigate certain areas like the laundry room or bathroom.Lastly, baby wipes. Every time you stand, blood will rush to your foot. So minimizing the amount of times you need to get up is key. Baby wipe baths are the way to go for the first 2 weeks. After that the swelling pain will become manageable and you can take regular baths.
