Fun and portable
I bought this product for my grandson who wanted a drum set. He was thrilled when he opened the box and immediately set it up and began playing. The volume is easily controllable and the headphone jack was a super idea. The only thing I can think of that I do not like is the loud, obnoxious beeping when the volume is turned up or down. This is a great alternative to the full sized drum set.

Looks like a great product!
They seem to work well as a "tester" not an actual drummer. They are as a starting set for our 16 year old who has started playing cymbals in the percussion section of her high school. We love the idea of the capability to use head phones so she can practice without everyone being involved. We were also able to plug the USB into a portable charger, like for a cell phone, and she should be able to use them without a plug. She does not have her own computer at this time so we wanted to be sure that she could move around with them. I will update the review once she actually opens them at Christmas. We think she will be thrilled!!

Plugs in only, no batteries!
So I thought this should have the ability to use batteries as other similar units I have seen do... However, it only can be powered by ac outlet and has a short plug so makes things difficult for my situation.Other than that, it seems to work well and is surprisingly loud for such a small unit. But the short cord makes it very limited to where it can be used for kids.

Not for learning to play the actual drums
Definitely great and worth buying if your kid wants to play the drums and you aren’t sure their commitment level in lessons and you don’t wanna drop $400 for a set to collect dust. PLUS it has a headphone jack so they can go to town and you won’t want to bash your head into a wall

Did exactly what I wanted it for...midi controller for DAW!
Bought this on a whim even though it is a toy. It stated USB "MIDI" support. Hooked it up to my system, turned the volume down (didn't want to hear the "meh" sounding drums) selected my drum set in the DAW and BOOM! Can record drum tracks using this as the trigger/controller with the DAW's drum sounds! Sweet!

Not good for learning! LOUD with earphones.
Really difficult to use due to each drum size. Pedals move around, hard you keep under feet. Sound is far too loud to use headphones with music which was my purpose for buying. Can't even use added music... It is that loud!!! Seriously regretting the purchase.

Would recommend
Our son appreciates having this in addition to his traditional set. He is 8 and needed something more mobile to use all over the house. Sound isn’t terrible and this works great for practice
