Godox MF12-K2 Macro Flash

Muy buenos!!

Wow. What a change this has made for my macro photography! I have tried several solutions, but they all had their problems. This allows multiple flashes at whatever angle you wish (I got two sets, so have four flashes). The diffuser is a bit small and close, but that is easily remedied by using a small loop of translucent plastic to give a bigger apparent size in the target image.

It came with multiple adapters to fit various lens threads, and a whole bunch of colored films for the diffusers. Setup was super simple and worked right out of the box with my Godox Trigger. Definitely a good bang for the buck!

Weak and doesn't do well with focus bracketing at all. Just get one of the better and larger flashes by godox. This thing will cost you way more money for car less value.

I used this flash for Macro shots in Costa Rica on Bugs, Frogs, Snakes and Lizzards.

It arrived today, it's to early for a review. But. There are two things I immediately didn't like. First I don't like having to thread it on and then off again, thats unnecessary wear on my filter threads. Second I'm unable to use the lenses cover cap and it dosent come with one. They should really design a lens cap and include it in the kit. I have used a different brand for years with neither of these issues. That said I do believe it will be an amazing flash.

I have been interested in macro for a long time but have struggled with lighting. I saw this reviewed on a Youtube channel and immediately ordered this set. The packaging is great and the system is easy to setup and use. I have since added a third unit for more versatility and I expect to add a 4th before too long. Being able to expand the kit over time is a great feature. The integration of these flashes into the overall Godox family is also a huge plus - I have amassed 4 strobes plus these units and have been able to use them all together without problem. I really, really like that Godox have built out their own ecosystem and it is great to know that I could move to a new camera system and would only have to buy a new controller to be able to keep using my (rapidly expanding) family of flash units. Note that you have to already own one of the Godox flash controllers (I have the X-Pro for my Fujis) or buy one in addition to this kit.
