DASHBOARD
I love the tripod Mount which allows real time dash board readings of the environment. Elements and conditions can change rapidly sometimes. Kestrel can’t predict that but at least it’s real-time info on your dashboard while you need it.

Definitely worth the $$
This kestrel is awesome. I even got the chance to talk with the IMET on a fire about it a little. I love that it does PIG and fdfm, a definite bonus out west. It is pretty easy to navigate, I think the only down side is the light should stay on longer. It doesn't give you enough time to actually get your weather taken before it times out. Overall, great product, I would highly recommend this.

Great product
This product is amazing I spun weather simultaneously while reading the info from the kestrel and it was spot on. I would recommend to have one of these on each fire crew
