Earlier i have reviewed Rust-x rust converter. now i came to try Sika rust remover. 1. Sika is thin watery liquid while Rust-x is whitish creamy thick liquid. 2. Applying Sika needs extreme care because it is thin and gets spattered around also i felt fumes out of rust reaction from it. Felt burning like irritation on my skin wherever it’s tiny drops landed while brushing. but rust-x is safe on skin even with brushing vigorously. 3. Result of sika is good with steel and very thin layer of rust only. But Rust-x just kills a thick layer of rust and converts it to smoothened water resistive layer satisfactorily. Yet no great point of use of sika for me. but results may vary according surfaces of application.

It indeed has Maleic Acid (like similar rust killers), but is not very effective, if the layer of rust is thin. Only if the rust layer is thick, it works. Which is somewhat contrary to the instructions. Only the flaky rust needs to be removed. Hence, it seems, it will work only in the case of heavily rusted articles. Further, you need to was away the residual acid carefully after 48 hours. In all it takes at least 72 hours to finally finish a treatment with this product. You need at least two coats, careful brushing and a final wash with lots of water. So, it is not an easy matter.

Item is not works on rusted surface

Very nice product for removal of rust. My engineer give me the name of this item. I purchased it from amazon and it is working very nicely. I have Tata Tiskon rod and the rust remove from bar within 5 min

The product is good. But the packing and the container quality is bad. I lost 40% of the liquid before opening the container due to leakage

ITEM IS GOOD QUALITY AND PAKING IS GOOD.
