Delicious
I love this sunflower seed butter. I like to spread it on toast or to make a sunflower seed butter and jelly sandwich. I also love peanut butter, but this is a great alternative for those that are all allergic to peanuts. The consistency is exactly the same as peanut butter, but taste like sunflower seeds of course! Delicious!

Excellent seed butter! Can you ... ?
Excellent seed butter! I eat many varieties of nuts, seeds, nut butters, and seed butters; will you consider transitioning to glass containers instead of plastic containers for your product, because I currently have multiple jars of your product as currently packaged and intend to consume them, but I cannot in good conscience continue to buy products that I may need that are packaged in plastic if those products are available in a safer container. Thank you for your consideration.

Ordinary Lifestyle For The Peanut-Allergic
My kids with multiple food allergies (including peanuts) already have enough on their plate without having to explain why they're eating weird looking stuff. So I am thrilled to be able to recommend Sunbutter as a peanut butter substitute. My kids don't have to do without that childhood lunch staple, the peanut-butter sandwich.Sunbutter doesn't taste like peanut butter; it tastes like sunflower seeds. However, this is not an unpleasant taste, just different. It has the exact same texture and mouth-feel as peanut butter, though, so it can be used as a straight substitute for peanut butter in all kinds of recipes. We've used it as a substitute to make peanut-free peanut sauce, peanut butter cookies, and peanut butter fudge. It functions exactly as peanut butter does, and as long as the sunflower-seed taste goes well in the recipe, it does just fine. I should warn you, though, there are some contexts where the flavor just doesn't work with the recipe. On the other hand you may find that some people will prefer the flavor. Our neighbors don't have a single peanut-allergic kid, but they bought some Sunbutter anyway because their kids had it over at our peanut-free house and loved it.Sunbutter does have a couple of quirks. First, if you expose it to alkali, it turns green. So if you use it in a recipe that is heavy on the baking soda, you may get an unexpected result. And of course since detergent is alkali, if you leave any on the knife and put it in the dishwasher, that which doesn't wash off will be a harmless but very ugly fecal shade of green. Rinse thoroughly before putting Sunbutter-covered utensils in the dishwasher. Second, it has more of a tendency than peanut butter to separate into oil and solids. I used to buy it in the large tubs but when we'd open one up there was an inch-thick layer of sunflower oil on the top. We tried to mix it in but then we found that the stuff at the bottom was so thick and dry that it couldn't be spreaded at all. We developed two workarounds for this: one, upon opening a new container, we'd dump it in the mixer and mix it all up. Two, buy smaller jars.Overall, three cheers for Sunbutter!

Great for super low carb! Great value! But not 100% my taste...
I first hit 3 stars, then 4, then ended with 5 - it is a good product and is what it says. It is a great value for the money. Great for Keto. I love sunflower seeds and have them (organic raw) most days in my green salad. However, in this SunButter the sunflower seed butter has an edge that just doesn't work for me and my taste buds (I am a genetic super-taster). I tried adding stevia to see if sweet would help; it did, but not enough. As it was also a bit thin for my preferance I then also added peanut butter powder to see if would help; again, it did, but not quite enough. So then I thought of cinnamon as I love cinnamon; again, that helped. But there's still that hint of an edge in there that's part of the roasted sunflower seed flavor that is intensified in the butter form. But the concoction I made I can use just fine -- given that it's so low carb, and I love my celery (negative calories!) and nut/seed butter, so I'll still keep eating it (as I bought many bottles in quantity). I do recommend it because it's a great product - hence the 5 stars, great low carbs for Keto (as nut butters aren't so low). Just know to other reviewers it tastes the same as peanut butter, but to this reviewer's taste buds it doesn't at all.

As advertised
Decent taste, smooth consistency, doesn't separate, a bit over-priced

Awesome Alternative!!!
My son is allergic to peanuts so we don’t keep peanut butter in our house to be on the safe side. My favorite peanut butter was the crunchy so I found this and it is very good!

The oil separates from the paste. This is noted on the package label.
The company needs to find out how to prevent the oil from separating from the sunflower paste that was a problem for the peanut butter companies in their early days so I assume you will fix the problem. I do like the wonderful taste of the Sun Butter and is you can fix your one problem it would be so much the better.
