No problem installing the rod. It is sturdy. Hopefully the plastic ends remain unbroken.

The plastic hinge would be the weak link in the rod but with care it should work fine. Once the valances are hung I will avoid .
Rod arrived safely with all pieces inside. Although it appears to be complicated initially it's really quite a simple process hanging these. I wish the plastic pieces had been made with metal instead since plastic doesn't hold up as well but this rod should be adequate for hanging valances. The plastic hinge would be the weak link in the rod but with care it should work fine. Once the valances are hung I will avoid having to take them down too often.

Overall, it’s ok and does the job.
Overall, it’s ok and does the job. Price seems reasonable.This would be especially great for folks living in apartments and rentals, but would also be ok for guest bedrooms. Note that this does feel flimsy, especially the plastic parts. It seems like it supports my curtains, so it’s doing what it needs to do.

Easy to hang by myself
I am a senior female who lives on her own and I hung my patio door Valance all by myself. This rod was very easy to manage it was not heavy it was not flimsy and I am very pleased.

Not worth the money!
Very poor quality rod. The mounting brackets are lightweight plastic and bend very easily, especially after they are mounted and you try to install the main rod. The main rod pieces are also very flimsy. I was using the rod to mount tiebacks and a valance so there was not a lot of weight on the rod. The span was about 95" which is well within the listed range. I was finally able to get all the parts unbent and the drapes mounted with the rod, but I have to agree with some of the other posters that the rod is definitely not worth the money.

I don't understand all the bad reviews. This rod fit perfectly
I purchased this rod for my sliding glass door. Its 8 feet high and 96 inches wide, added 5 1/2 inches to each side. I don't understand all the bad reviews. This rod fit perfectly ... I did put up the middle support bracket ... The curtains look beautiful and the rod is extremely strong. I had no issues with bending and the corner brackets snapped in very securely. I hope this helps some ...
