Great bundle deal
Purchased during a sale for the price of one core rule book. Awesome stuff, I have been wanting Zanthar’s for a while and when I saw this I couldn’t pass it up.

Great Set/Great Value
This is an excellent addition for your DnD fan. When added to the Player’s Handbook, it sets them up for being a dungeon master. Excellent photos with thick pages. Well made to last for a while. The screen is pretty cool as well. Stands up well and is large enough to shield the master’s information.

Great set to have if you don't have them already
The cover art and the color scheme are very nice and high quality. The new monster book really makes running combat easier with the small stat changes and proficiency bonus added. Also having a compiled list of enemies makes this monster manual a one stop shop and very convenient. I'm also a big fan of how much the Tasha's and Xanathar books expand the character build options for players. If you haven't bought any of these books in the past, this is a must have.

More options make better games
I very much enjoy all of the new options presented to my players and myself as GM. I admit I was starting to run out of ideas and these books helped inject new life into our campaigns. I would definitely recommend to those who want to give their players as many classes and options as possible.

Awesome!
The covers are foiled and shiny versions of the normal cover version. Reminds me of the holographic pokemon cards back in the day. Also makes it easier to tell who's book is whoms when we have them both at the table.

It’s great if you don’t have Tasha’s & Xanathar’s
I didn’t have hard copies of Tasha’s or Xanathar’s, so it made sense to me to purchase this. If you already have one or more of those books, then I would just wait and purchase the ones you don’t have separately. But if you have those and already have Volo's and Mordenkainen's tome, then this isn't necessary at all. I'd just wait to buy it separately or a digital version. That being said, the quality of the books are great, and what I would expect. Also, the DM screen is very similar to the one that comes in the Essentials kit, but this one is higher quality. It’s thicker, harder mdf/cardboard than the flimsy essentials kit one, and it’s wider, which is nice. The updates in Mordenkainen’s are controversial, but I’m generally a fan and I like what they’ve chosen to include and why. They’re setting up the next few adventures and the future of their product here to give players and DMs more structured flexibility, if that makes sense. I wish there were more monsters that were particular to certain adventures included, but I like the NPC stat blocks in here.I would have appreciated some more lore, but that’s just like my opinion, man. This set is really for folks that enjoy D&D books, and enjoy them for more than just the race/subclass options. If that’s all you are interested in, then I’d say just get them digitally. But these books have so much more than those options that as a DM I appreciate, especially the content around things like traps, puzzles, and the random tables.
