I was originally planning to purchase a thinner pad, but this was on sale, so I went with the 2.5 inches. At first, it was delightful to sleep on; I'm both a back and side sleeper, so I need a sleep surface that neither sags in the middle (therefore causing back pain from back-sleeping), nor is so firm that I have dead-arm or hip pain from misaligned side-sleeping. Following a move, I had just obtained a like-new, fairly firm pillow-top mattress. It was too firm for my sleep posture(s), so I needed to modify it with something affordable. This seemed like it would work.Alas, after two months of sleeping on it, the center has completely fallen, and my butt/hips now spend the night in a crater which has caused me to experience back spasms, middle- and lower-back pain, and reverse-hip-soreness from sleeping with my hips sunk too far into the surface, rather than resting too high upon it. I've tried flipping it, but the fiber in the center of the mattress is just too degraded.I visited family for Thanksgiving, spent 5 days miraculously pain-free, and after spending one night back in my own bed, my back is already in sad shape. I would return it if I could, but alas; the return window is, of course, past.For reference: I'm 5'5" and 185 lbs; so I'm not tiny, but I'm not a huge person, either. One would think something called "memory foam" would have a better memory.

Arrived extremely quickly! Packaged well. It is vacuum sealed and then gradually poofs up to the full size. Very comfortable and fit the queen size bed perfectly. Also, there is really no odor to it. I was afraid of some chemical smell, but there is no discernible odor. Love it so far!

The foam mattress comes well packaged. You unroll it and let it "fluff" back out to it's original size which took less than a day to do so. Other reviews said it took 24 hours which in my case wasn't true. The queen mattress that came with my RV is junk so I purchased this foam mattress to help make it bearable and to my surprise is very comfortable now. The 2 inch foam mattress fix my junk RV mattress and saved me a lot of money not to have to purchase a new mattress.

I cannot say enough about how happy I am with this product. During my pregnancy my sciatic started to bother me and I needed something for my bed, however my husband did not want a foam topper. This fit perfectly under the fitted sheet on my side of the bed only. It has air holes so it never makes me hot and I live in Hawaii where memory foam can make you sweat. It is so much higher quality than I thought it would be and the 2” was plenty to alleviate my aches and pains. I love that I can have memory foam on my side of the bed and he can choose not to by purchasing the twin size. It even stood up to me spot cleaning it with soap and water when I spilled something on it. You can flip it and the air holes are on both sides. There is no indentation or flat spots after using it for quite awhile now. If you need to roll it up and store it this size will make that possible. The price was phenomenal!!

I have a firm bed, but after a back injury, it was painful to sleep on. Thus a foam topper was in order.There are different firmness foams, but they are difficult to gauge, and it depends on the size and weight of your body. I figured the thickness was more important. Thus I wanted the foam topper to be thick enough such that much of my body would receive some support, while my outer proportions (thighs and shoulders) would sink to the mattress below. I am a big, tall person and I estimated that a 2.5” foam topper would be about right.Previous to this mattress, I had to sleep in my recliner. But with this foam topper I was able to sleep in the bed again, though I was rather stiff and sore by morning (again, due to my back injury).I believe that the thickness of these toppers is more important than the hard-to-gauge firmness. I would guess that a 1.5” to 2.5” would be good enough for the petite to average-sized frame, 3” to 4” for the big weight-lifter frame of person. It’s not to say that a thicker foam wouldn’t be okay, but I was selecting it based on the needs of my back (which is now doing much better – thank you).When it arrived, it was tightly squeezed into a plastic bag, and that tightly packed into a box. As they say, let it air out for several days. It has a strong odor and I aired it out for about a week in the garage. (Note that it is very flimsy - - get it to your airing destination before un-boxing and un-bagging it.) As mentioned by others, there is a little foam debris on the surface of the padding, but I didn’t find it to be excessive. I used a shop broom to brush off both sides of the padding before bringing it in. (Note that it is easier to move if you fold it into quarters, then open it up on the bed in place – it does not slide well on the bed.) Even though I aired it for a week, the odiferous air is rather-well trapped in the padding that likely would not fully air out without about a year of airing, or rolling around on it as you sleep at night. I wasn’t going to wait for a year! The odor is bothersome for about a week - very noticeable through the second week - and essentially gone after 1 month. Those with bad sinus problems may find it difficult.As for me, I liked it enough to get a second, identical topper for another bed (even though it cost a little more). But that is when I noticed just how much it had yellowed (see the attached pictures – with & without flash). When it arrives, it is a BRIGHT white, but it yellows rather quickly. The difference in color is the result of arriving 103 days apart. Though yellowed, I find no difference in texture – this is just for your edification.

I don't understand the bad reviews. I put this on my bed, and it took less than 24 hours to puff up to its full size. It was a perfect fit. And there is no odor. For the first time in ages, I slept solidly without waking up during the night. What I like best is that my husband can move around and I don't feel a thing. It used to be that when he plopped on the bed I would feel the bounce and wake up. I'm glad I bought this instead of going for a whole new mattress. I am small, weighing 105 pounds and I don't sink into this mattress, rather on top of it like a cloud under me. No aches and pains when I wake up.
