Useless.
I bought this " Self Priming Siphon Tube " to drain the gas tanks on my motorcycles. It failed. I wasn't able to get any flow even shaking it enthusiastically. The only thing it drained was my wallet.

Took about 5 minutes to empty a 5 gallon tank. Didn't have to lift and hold in place.

Does not work as a siphon for gasoline by itself, need bulb type pump to get siphon going
First no instructions. I tried using this several time, for 10 minutes total, on a generator fuel tank with an opening on the top and about 8 inches deep of fuel, so lots of room to shake in up and down in fuel. I got about 2 inches of gas in the tubing, but once the gas level went higher it would drain back at the same rate it filled, no matter how fast I shook it up and down. It has a glass ball inside that is supposed to seal on the brass fitting, glass ball seemed fine, but that seal is just not tight enough. Nice to buy a product made in the USA, but disappointed it did not work. Contacted the company through Amazon and they asked me what angle I was using it at, I told them and then asked them if the one I have is defective, but they did not respond. So back it goes.Update, I noticed on the free return shipping label it said if the product was used they would discard it and not refund the purchase price.
