Not Your Mother's Plump for Joy Thickening Dry Shampoo, 7 Oz

This stuff does it's job and does it well. I'm not a fan of hairspray, or hair products in general because of how they make my hair feel. This is no exception, EXCEPT, I feel like it's actually useful so it's worth it. I have dark brown hair and you can't see any color difference on the dark part, no powdery film visible. It smells good - like coconut, and your hair looks clean. Use it for a few days and... well hair still looks clean but definitely doesn't feel like it. It made me want to wash it more but definitely love it when I have no time. It's a life saver and would definitely recommend the brand.

I must say, I was quite surprised when I used this! Most other dry shampoos have smelled terrible or linger in your hair all day and you can't stand it. This one actually smells rather pleasant when you spray it on and it doesn't linger! And I'd say it soaks up the oils much better and is very easy to brush through and disperse! My bangs always look so oily and drab the second day after a wash and this stuff makes me look like I'm decent enough to be out in public for a day! I have rather medium-length straight hair, so I'm probably not the best to judge the 'volume' aspect of this, but as far as the purposes of dry shampoo go, this is an excellent choice and I hope to be using it long into the future!

I usually get the original scented dry shampoo (green bottle), but bought this one because Amazon only offers the green bottle as an add-on item. Overall pretty good dry shampoo, but not a huge fan of the mango scent. Doesn’t give my hair any more volume than any other dry shampoo even though this product claims it. Won’t be buying this again due to the scent (prefer the original scent), but if you’re looking for a dry shampoo that doesn’t leave too much residue and does a good job, this is a decent product. I have blond-ish thin hair.

Amazing! This works just as good as the expensive brands like Amika, but for half of the price. No white sticky residue, no residues at all! My hair feels and smells clean and it gives a little extra volume. I have medium thickness hair that has a slight wave to it. Great option for after a workout, or on days that you don't wash your hair. Like any dry shampoo you don't want to go too long between no-wash days as it can dry out your scalp. I wash my hair twice a week.

I purchased this in hopes of increasing my volume. I don't use dry shampoo routinely and do try to avoid it but have recently noticed my hair getting oily quicker and less voluminous. I havent noticed any assistance with volume but it does take an oily shine away. I like that it doesn't go on extremely powdery its fairly weightless but feels a bit like hairspray. I get a more desired look and feel paired with a little bit of batiste dry shampoo after this has been applied. Otherwise id say its just ok

Divine smell! Will definitely be getting more. As for the dry shampoo and thickening properties, it's ok, it'll do, for the price. I am on the search for something to replace my go-to Klorane Dry Shampoo, which is an outstanding dry shampoo, very effective and fine mist/powder and pleasant non-overpowering smell. Unfortunately, Klorane is insanely pricey considering how often I use it and run out (it's like 3 oz). This is more than twice the amount for a quarter of the price. No brainer. I will be getting loads more.

I usually love Not Your Mother's Dry Shampoo, and I bought a 2-pack of this variety because I figured it would work as well as the rest of the Not Your Mother's Dry shampoos. Not so much, regretfully. I'm not really crazy about the smell, for one thing; it reminds me of stale citrus carpet spray. Yuck! I could look past that flaw if it worked well, but no. Initially, it does seem to make hair look less like it needs to be washed, but as the day wears on, it gets almost greasy-feeling and weighs my hair down, so by lunchtime, my hair looks worse than it did when I got out of bed! It surprises me that it's so awful, because Not Your Mother's makes the best dry shampoos I've ever used, just not this particular version of it. Avoid Plump For Joy Thickening, and go for the original version, it's SO much better than this!

I really like this stuff, and for less than $4, it's hard to beat. It does have some white residue when you spray it on (like most all dry shampoos) but a quick rub with a dry towel does the trick. I use this on days my hair is oily, but I also use a little as a texturizer as soon as I've dried my hair.
