Love it! 2nd Generation
This really is a great espresso, coffee machine combo. I purchased my 1st 10 yrs ago or so. I think I blew some seals by forgetting to add water. The new design will prevent that mistake again. I did need to return the 1st 2 sent as unforeseen damages. Stuff happens, but worth the wait knowing the outcome of great espresso and coffee. Amazing crema like froth from ever cup. The machine is pod specific and I can only find on Amazon. It's never been a problem ordering.I use the less expensive brand, I find it just as good as Starbucks. Definitely a better design and feels like a quality machine. Great value too. 2nd pic is coffee mode.

Arrives brand new, broken, and Starbucks customer service representative was less than helpful
I just opened my verismo v and set it this morning hoping to make an americano for the first time at home. The machine lights blinked several times and went solid. I pressed the rinse button and .... nothing happened. The rinse light blinked several times however no water was pulled into the machine from the tank reservoir. I stared at the machine dumbfounded and instinctively pressed the rinse button again. The light blinked and once again nothing happened. No sound, no pull. I decided to let the machine warm up a bit more ( it’s 10 degrees in upstate New York right now. 2 hours later I try the Machine again and nothing.I called Starbucks customer service for some assistance in which I was instructed to read the manual because the machine needs to be primed.... the priming instructions are simply 1) fill tank ( I used bottled spring water), 2) press rinse a total of five times. How am I supposed to prime the machine when it won’t pull water. The representative then instructed me press rinse as many times as it takes to get water to pull......And if that fails “ return it to amazon”. Okay Starbucks but this is not amazons problem. You’re shipping faulty machines with broken pump systems and telling your customers to stand around like an idiot and press rinse until it works doesn’t solve the problem. It also shows lack of ownership and responsibility in taking care of your customers.Consumer : hey I’ve got a problem, Starbucks representive : ok I’m gonna go take a dumpI also tried another troubleshooting guide from the net saying to pump the metal handle several times as the new machines can “ lock up”. This also did nothing. I did read the numerous negative reviews about the device on here but though that the problems with these machines would be fixed by now.Regardless amazon is replacing the machine at no cost however I’m extremely skeptical if another unit is even going to work. Extremely disappointed in Starbucks right now. But thank you amazon for assisting me with the issue.

Makes terrific coffees!
This is our second small Verismo System, and it's been greatly improved over the earlier version. The much larger water reservoir means far fewer fillings, and the larger bin for catching used pods means fewer emptyings. This machine is quick, quiet, and essentially dripless and splashless. Plus it occupies a relatively small footprint on our countertop -- a boon in a small kitchen! We purchased separately a Nespresso milk foamer, which is similarly compact and extremely well designed, and these two machines travel with us on every overnight car trip, sometimes for thousands of happy miles, producing at least eight cappuccinos (both decaffeinated and high-test) daily. We use only Starbucks Verismo pods, and our home brews measure up wonderfully against the ones we (still!) enjoy at Starbucks cafes. Well worth the investment!

This is the second "Verismo" coffee maker we bought
This is the second "Verismo" coffee maker we bought. The old one eventually died after 8 or 10 years. This one is obviously a post-version 1 model; lots of things just work better. We use "Italian coffee for coffee lovers" coffee (yes, that's actually the brand name). It's cheaper than what Starbucks was selling their coffee for (back when Starbucks was still selling coffee in the K-Fee format). When Starbucks stopped selling their K-Fee coffee, we tried CBTL whose capsules were "close but not quite" right. But they'd sometimes fail in the machine. We're very happy with our Verismo machines, and we're happier with the new one.One thing to note is that the first one of these was "dead on arrival". However, we were able to return it with a cross-ship shipment, so we has the replacement 2 days later - for which we are very satisfied.

Disappointed
We had a Verismo that we bought from Starbucks back in the day for my husband for Christmas. He had gotten a lot more interested in using a different method of brewing so we let the machine sit for a few years. Fast forward to us trying to use it again and trying to trouble shoot with YouTube videos but to no avail. It wasn’t going to work. I had bought new pods (a lot of them) so I searched Amazon for a new Verismo and to my surprise they were half the price I paid originally!! So I jumped on it and had it delivered. I was so excited when I plugged it in and followed the “priming” steps to get ready for that first cup….I pressed the power button. All the lights lit up….good start I thought. Pressed the “rinse” button (this didn’t exist on our first generation). The light blinked about five times then all the lights lit back up. No sound AT ALL. Clearly this was operator error, I thought….to make a long story a little shorter, after troubleshooting and unplugging, replugging etc I FINALLY read the reviews. I should have done that first. 🤦♀️ Sent everything back and a very valuable lesson was learned. ALWAYS READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE BUYING!!!! Gah!!!

This machine is far better than the first generation Verismo which I used for ...
I purchased this new Verismo to replace one that was an "original". This machine is far better than the first generation Verismo which I used for about 5 years. The materials are of much better quality. The controls are also much better...offering more control over the machine. The machine is especially quiet. I love that. I only brew espresso with this machine and also own the Verismo Frother. I use both every single day and brew an exceptional lait. I might add that I am able to get two shots out of the Starbucks Espresso pod. Try it!
