I let my daughter “paint” on this and she loves it. She will play with it for hours at a time if I let her. Great and low mess.

I actually bought this for my 3 year old to have a mess free relaxing activity to do. He really enjoys it and so do I. Painting on the material is very easy and relaxing. If your kid gets overzealous with the water, it will start pooling on the surface so keep an eye out for that. One downside: It stained easily with messy fingers. My son sneaked in a bite of snack in between painting without me realizing, and then he touched the painting surface. Unfortunately I think his fingers were oily from the chips and the surface stained in a few spots even though i tried to wipe it right away. So just beware of that. But otherwise, it’s been great!

There were a bunch of black mark imperfections and markings on item when it arrived.
