These are a lot of fun but are best played with 1-4 or 5 players. You are provided a case file with pictures, testimonies, evidence, and more to try to solve a murder case. They create social media pages and websites relevant to the case so using the internet is recommended as long as you aren't looking up the answers. They also have options to get hints as well if you are stuck. It feels a lot like a table top escape room.Pros:- Good stories/cases- Lots of documents and evidence provided to go through; answers are not obvious- They usually take us 2-4 hours to finish so they are worth the cost for an entertainment night- You can start them, put it away, and come back to it at any time.Cons:- You can't replay a case once you know the answer. I highly suggest keeping the pieces neat and trading them with friends to try and get theirs from them when they are done. We did that and ultimately got all of the cases this company sells between my friend groups

For a great date night to stay home and relax this is the way to go. Grab a glass of wine and get to mystery solving

I do not regularly review things, but I felt a need to steer everyone far clear of this game. My husband and I are murder mystery game enthusiasts and have played more than 30, including a number of very difficult ones from Hunt a Killer. This is by far the worst game we have ever played.We played one other from this brand and it was fine, so we hoped this would be decent, but alas. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know you can’t make a murder mystery in which every suspect has the exact same motive, means, and opportunity. This game provides no way to exclude anyone, and it fails to include concrete evidence to pinpoint the killer. And that’s not to mention the fact that multiple pieces of investigative material were completely repetitive and also useless. The clues were totally worthless as well, which is not surprising for a game this poorly designed. I won’t even get into the number of typos, which removed any game credibility to begin with.There are so many better games of this nature out there. Don’t go for this one! Absolute waste of time and money.

Lots of fun

I really enjoyed this one! I love how Murder Mystery Party Cases have nice color photos of all of the suspects and the victim. The evidence is very well done, from the crime scene photos to the different types of letters and newspaper clippings. They really do a great job! This is the second one of these cases that I have done and I will probably do the rest of them. I have read some mixed reviews for this one....I almost didn't order it, but I am glad that I did. It was a lot of fun!

This is the second case file I've bought from this company. I haven't tried any other brands but this came recommended from some friends who love this type of thing. The story was great and when we got stumped we were able to check online for clues. It was challenging and fun. I will probably get the underwood cellars one next.

We purchased the mile high murder case file. We’ve previously done hunt a killer and unsolved case files. We thoroughly enjoyed those brands and the many twists and somewhat misleading/ hidden info that made solving the crime fun. This one came with a sheet that asked for means, motive, alibi etc. but no alibi’s were found in any of the evidence. The little evidence we did find, we didn’t find it to be enough to solve the case but when we put in our guess we were correct. It was just very anticlimactic compared to other ones we’ve done and the very first (and only person) we suspected ended up being the murderer.I believe we had everything that was meant to be included, just wasn’t what we were hoping. Probably won’t buy this brand again.
