I purchased this power strip because it specifically and conspicuously marketed itself as a METAL power strip. In fact, the packaging also claims that the main body is made from aluminum housing. It is not. It is plastic, with small metal brackets on each side only. This is clearly false advertisement, or bait-and-switch at best.

The description of this power strip says it is ETL Approved and Listed. When I received the product, I checked the label. There was no ETL, UL, etc., rating whatsoever. Only says ... "Made in China." I attempted to research if in fact this particular product was ETL rated by searching several websites and couldn't find anything. While the product overall appears to be solid and something I would otherwise like, my family's safety is more important than saving a few bucks. I'm going to attempt to return it. NOTE: In the pictures associated with the product, you do not see the back of the power strip and therefore don't see the label...interesting! Therefore, I've added one of my own so you can see there is no ETL rating on the product itself. It comes with no documentation so the only thing you have to go on is the 'word' of the description advertising this power strip...personally, I need proof.
