A must have!
I'm currently in my 1st semester of Nursing School. This little book is AWESOME....wish I'd had it sooner it would've saved me alot of ink, money, and stress. It has all the nursing procedures inside it along with pictures that demonstrates the procedure. Since I got this book and shared it with my classmates, two of them have already ordered it. I plan on ordering all the rest of the books made by this author. It's width is short enough to put inside your uniform pockets, its a little on the thick side but for all the good information in it....the thickness don't bother me at all. The wording, front size, instructions, and pictures are well formatted and organized.

Can't go wrong with this little book.
I use this book ALL THE TIME as I'm in nursing school and in clinicals and work in the ER. It is extremely helpful when you need a brush up on something or you forgot a lab value or can't remember a step in performing some sort of critical. It has almost everything you need to know it, lab values, OD antidotes, assessment tools, procedure step by step guides like NG tube, Foley, IM, hand washing lol it even has a few critical questions to ask Spanish patients in English to Espanol translation. Highly recommend this for quick reference, whether it be school or work.

Wonderful!!!!!!!!!!
WONDERFUL product!!! I personally find this extremely helpful. This book fits into my pocket, it is washable (ink comes off), and it is broken up by topics (assessment, procedures, etc). It contains all lab values, it breaks up the assessments by systems (and tells what to look for / assess for), shows cardiac and respiratory auscultations and has visuals. Procedures are taken step by step and contain photos / descriptions. The book also contains drug interactions (food-drug and drug-drug), as well as different vitamins and food groups and what they contain. The book also includes cultural considerations (simple statements in other languages and what to avoid (such as eye contact or touching, etc)). Great product!!

but this book is pretty helpful. All of the info is fairly current ...
I actually have yet to use this, but this book is pretty helpful. All of the info is fairly current for a 2nd printing. A great resource for nursing students and beyond. I bring it faithfully with me to every clinical day, but because I carry so much around with me already I just can't fit it in. Next semester will hopefully be the time to use it.

If you're a nursing student, you need to get this!
Must buy for any nursing student! Sometimes you just need a reminder on proper technique for any nursing procedure like tracheostomy care or the right gauges for IM needles. It is nice and small which makes it easy to carry around or fit in your scrub pocket (although it is a bit bulky for that). The pages are waterproof and you can clean it with alcohol pads. I found it particularly helpful during my ER and ICU rotations because it also includes EKG rhythms, assessments, and useful medications, especially for code circumstances. I wish I bought this in the beginning when I started nursing school!

These notes are a huge help! Not only do ...
These notes are a huge help! Not only do they compress a ton of info into a small notepad, but it's very durable (and waterproof!). I've used this several times for studying assessment. I take this with me everywhere. Whenever I have down time and study (Im in nursing school) I whip this out. It summarized key points and has many helpful tables. For example, when I was studying how to test cranial nerves... One page has all the nerves, their function, and how to test them!

GREAT STUDY TOOL.
I have been using this for all my clinical. It is a great tool to fit in your pocket and got o as a reference when in a bind or need good information quick. It gives great pictures and information from CPR to drugs, shot location, protocols and so much more. I am a freshman in nursing school and it has saved me in some of those dire need situations. I would HIGHLY recommend this to any nursing student, and or new nurse.

I really liked this convenient reference guide
I really liked this convenient reference guide. I am a nursing student and thought it was pretty inclusive of the different clinical information for all life spans. The pages are wax-coated and sturdy, but the ringed binding has a tendency to come unwound with use, so I have to keep threading it. I think it would be nice if it was a ring binder that you could open and take out the cards you need for a particular area rather than keeping the whole thing in your pocket as it is pretty thick. The reason I decided to write this review, however, is because I am in my pediatric rotation, and when referencing the Pediatric Quick Reference for the average weight for a 10 y/o, it indicates 19-22kg (41.8-48.4 lbs), which is obviously underweight, and I checked the CDC growth chart to be sure. So, now I am leery of relying on any information in the booklet, esp. since I don't have enough experience to know correct/incorrect values. If I hadn't had it so long before noticing this, I would have returned it immediately.
