Great Product & Fits Gorilla Ladder Perfectly!
I purchased this ladder stabilizer a few days ago and had a chance to try it out yesterday on my Gorilla ladder. For those of you who don’t know, the Gorilla ladder is basically a clone of the Little Giant ladder, but is less expensive. This ladder stabilizer fit it like a glove and worked perfectly! The stabilizer is very heavy duty & surprisingly sturdy, but does add a bit of weight to the top of the ladder making it a little harder to raise up if you are an older senior citizen like me. It is well worth the extra effort as I have never felt more secure & safer on a ladder then I did yesterday using this great device. One important thing to be aware of is that it is actually like having two stabilizers in one. If you mount the stabilizer to the ladder with the LABEL on the center piece facing normally, the standoff is at the correct angle to hold the ladder against the side wall of the house. If you mount the stabilizer to the ladder with the LABEL on the center piece facing UPSIDE DOWN, it changes the angle of the standoffs and worked perfectly resting on the roof of my house without rubbing against the gutters. What more could you ask for at a $40.00 price point!

Sturdy, well built, does what it is supposed to do...
As per the title, sturdy, well built, does what it is supposed to do. I almost gave it 5 stars but I think it could be improved, so I settled for 4 star. If the following could be improved it would be the perfect product:1 - adjust the locking mechanism so that it can be mounted without having to be extend the ladder at all, currently you need to extend it out by at least one rung.2 - find a way for the stabilizer arms to be oriented more steeply towards the bottom for when used to go on a roof with a mild slope. Currently between the need to extend the ladder and the orientation of the arms (even when mounted upside down), my ladder needs to be put with a much bigger incline that normal, taking a lot of space and augmenting the stress on the ladder and on the roof edge. It is also more prone to slippage that way, although the arms on the roof compensate for that a bit. All of this would go away if 1&2 were addressed. Not withstanding the above, great as it is for setting on a wall.

Little Giant product will fit Gorilla ladder
I have a Gorilla ladder, they do not make a standoff. The Little Giant standoff can be modified to fit the Gorilla. Another reviewer took the approach of widening the mouth of the bracket itself. I’m thinking he may have been modifying for another model of Gorilla ladder. I am sure that the ease of installation rating when installing on the Little Giant would be 5 stars. Due to slight modifications, for the Gorilla ladder, I give it 4 starsThe Little Giant standoff as received has a large butterfly handled screw that tightens into the bottom of the rung easily for the ladder it was designed for. The modification that must be made is to allow the clasp plus screw to clear the step rung support (the flat bar, in picture two it is the one with some white paint drip on it). The butterfly screw is too long and no matter how one tries it can’t clear that flat bar. I put the block attached to the screw that is through the clasp in a vise then backed out the screw using a vise grip so that the block separated from the butterfly screw, It takes some effort but ultimately the cold headed end of the screw will collapse, freeing up the butterfly screw from the clasp. I bought a thumbscrew (3/8 x 16 x 1) and threaded it back through the clasp. The block, which is now free, has a countersink which should be the side facing the thumb screw. As you tighten up the thumbscrew., the end of the screw will be encircled by that countersink. I finger tightened, then with the vise grip, gave the thumbscrew an extra 1/4 turn to snug it up against the flat backside of the ladder rung.Like with the installation of this standoff on the Little Giant the Gorilla ladder will not collapse fully but will be extended by one rung as the standoff will not clear to the fully closed position. I attached the standoff bars and tested the standoff with the minimal ladder extension. It is quite solid and I have no concerns about the robustness of the installation. I will leave the standoff bracket on the ladder and just store it one rung longer than the standard storage length. If you’ve been doing ladder work particularly as you get to full extension without a standoff, you will immediately appreciate how much more confident you will feel when operating at longer ladder extensions. As this is a modification for a ladder not intended in the design, proceed at your own discretion to determine your confidence in the modified installation. This is definitely a quality product, very well designed and strong.

Good product
Very useful for certain places where it is required to be separated from the wall, easy to adapt, the material is resistant.

An amazing piece of equipment!
After falling off a tall ladder in my youth and getting injured, I have never been fond of heights or ladders. With owning an older mobile home with a metal roof, you do what you have to to maintain it. In order to feel safer doing these high jobs, I purchased the Little Giant ladder. I LOVE my Little Giant, however, I found doing some roof sealing was nearly impossible with the ladder against the roof edge. I was excited to find this gem in Amazon and I was not disappointed! This wing span is a must if you have this type of ladder. It was very easy to put on/take off, and I felt way safer than with just the ladder alone. I also didn't have my face right up against where I was working. The only negative for me on this, was that this added extra weight to an already heavy ladder. Otherwise, 5 Stars!

Safety on the heights
What a great purchase because this ladder stabilizer fits the older model Little Giant ladders and the newer ones, I can’t believe I went for years without using this system that adds a lot of safety when a ladder is required for your project, the only downside side is that you can’t adjust the width, but still a great safety addition.
