Handy Small Timer
Ingenius - it can sit on a flat surface with it's swing out leg, stick to a metal surface with it's magnet, or clip it to something with it's spring-loaded clamp. It can be either a Timer or a Clock; a slide switch on the back determines which mode it is in. I have it's big brother, the Cooper-Atkins FT24-0-3. That timer costs $52, is TWICE as LOUD, is much larger and easier to use when you have your hands full in the kitchen and has a flashing light. It does not have a clock though. Both are made in China. I am including a photo to show the size difference between these two timers. I am including a video that lets you hear the volume difference in their alarms (it was filmed from 20' away.) 2 years later - This timer still works. I just bought a 2nd one to use in my office.

A great little timer!
I keep this on my refrigerator and use it in the kitchen. It's a great little timer: logical easy-to-use button controls, easily readable display, very audible alarm, and it looks quite stylish! Takes one AA battery. You can easily set it up on a flat surface, or use the magnetic feature to put it on metal surfaces (like a refrigerator).

Alarm on the timer that we bought was too quite
This was purchased because my wife requested a kitchen timer that was loud enough to overcome her hearing loss. I tested this same model at home (which I borrowed from my employer) with my wife and she thought that it had enough alarm volume for her needs. It shipped within one week. However, it was obvious immediately on testing the unit that I purchased that the alarm was barely audible to one even with good hearing. It was no louder than a timer from the dollar store. On checking with the manufacturer about this problem, I was told that the alarm was supposed to have a volume of 80 decibels. What I heard on our unit was no louder than maybe 20 decibels. So, at the suggestion of the manufacturer, it has been returned for full refund as defective. I am looking now for another timer that really emphasizes a loud alarm.

Only sounds for one minute
The timer is fine but I was looking for a timer that would continue to sound until it is reset - even if it sounds for a short time once a minute.

Functions well.
I love how long the timer can run. I also like that I can use it as a regular digital clock whenever I’m not using it as a timer.

It is very easy to use and takes up very little space
I am a work-at-home contractor and this has proven to be an invaluable tool for me. It keeps track of the time I spend on each project. It is very easy to use and takes up very little space. My only regret is that I didn't order it sooner. Great little timer.

Huh?
These were my favorite timers for years. The very best in a professional kitchen. But they must have cut costs and put a different ringer. It sounds different and is not near as loud and undenieble. Sometimes I don't hear the newer ones I bought. I have one that is about 5 years old. I keep that one as my best friend.

Not truly a 24 hour timer
Not truly a 24 hour timer. It is a 23:59:59 timer which makes it very difficult for a 90 year old who needs to take her coumadin every 24 hours. Although it has a memory it is much too easy to clear the memory. One touch of the clear button and the memory is gone. The clear button is right between the memory button and the start/stop button which is much to easy to accidentally push when using the other two buttons. It does have a very nice loud beep.
