Impressive little bugger
Packaging is nice and instructions are clear, the price was great for what it is, then there's the experience once you put your hands on to operate it. And I have to say, I read what everybody else shared and my experience is pretty much on par. This is an impressive little grinder which can hold a seeming large amount of ground coffee once the work is done. Changing the grinding level, attaching the handle, and tightening or closing everything could not have been easier. I spent some time experimenting and adjusting in order to get a much better sense of what I prefer, and it did not take a lot of effort. I admit that it got a little boring after a few minutes and I can see how somebody's arms can get tired, but I put on the television and didn't even think twice about how much strength was needed (I realize this varies from person to person).A few things to note:1) I thought that the grinding experience became easier and easier with more use. I'm not sure why this is. Initially, I believed it was because it required less effort if you're not turning the beans into a fine powder... but, that ended up being false when I reset it to a fine powder from coarser grounds and back again. It's not that hard. Any momentary resistance you feel is probably a bean about to get crushed.2) you will probably have little bits of grounds fly out of the hopper if you don't keep it covered. I'm a pretty neat person, but even I found this was out of my control as I was turning. Easily solved.3) I was a little surprised to see that trying to change the coarseness when the hopper was not empty was pretty ineffective. It's best to do a little at a time, as some people say. Why? Discover what it looks like and then figure out what your preference is depending upon how you prepare your coffee. There is a clear difference between trying to open the assembly and make the adjustment when the hopper is empty, versus when there are beans blocking the burrs. My bad!4) I got a surprisingly full amount of ground coffee which almost filled up the container after working on half a bag of beans. I'm not a coffee snob and I am going to be fine with a mixture of different coarsenesses (is that even a word?!) due to experimenting when I make my coffee tomorrow, and I'm probably going to keep everything out overnight on my kitchen table, too, until everything is used up over the next several mornings. YMMV, but I say this because if you're passionate about coffee, hopefully you figure out how much grounds you get based upon how much beans you throw into the hopper; I do know people who get upset when they do too much or too little, when they don't regulate the ambient temperature, etc. So, experiment a little at a time if you're not an uncultured idiot like me. heheh5) I'm sure that everything will taste fine, but I'm not evaluating that because I really don't care whether I drink the most expensive stuff or the worst swill on Earth. Furthermore, I'm not tasting the grinder itself, so that's that. Caffeine is caffeine in my body, it gets me going and helps me take my daily dump, and grinding everything helps prevent me from melting dark chocolate over the beans and eating too much of them.6) cleaning this looks like it'll be pretty simple. The notations by the manufacturer do state that it is not dishwasher friendly and to use a mild soap in the sink. Easy enough. Now, I'm nicking a star because the little peg attached to the end of the handle feels a little on the flimsy side and I'm afraid it's not going to take long before it breaks off. Everything else is attached or screwed on or fits great, so this really isn't a big deal... especially since I took the tip from a couple of other people of using a drill to do the turning for me, and my manual coffee grinder indeed can be briefly turned into an electric one! Ha! Anyway, I definitely endorse this handy little item, I look forward to using up bags of whole bean coffee that I haven't known what the hell to do with for quite a while, and I wish everybody good luck who buys it.

Excellent manual grinder !
It works perfect. Gets those in between settings that those electric ones can't do. Great for grinding beans for cold brewed coffee.

Not very practical
The top cannot be on while trying to use this coffee grinder because I had to constantly push the beans down in order for them to get ground. Also it does a very small amount at a time to it took FOREVER to grind a whole bag. I ended up returning it because it’s really not practical.

Good coffee grinder!
I just wanted a manual coffee grinder that wouldn’t make our dog go crazy with the noise like electric ones do, so I could try a specific coffee I got that only came as whole bean. Assembly was a little tricky, but once I figured it out and put all the parts in the right spot, everything was smooth from there! Plus, it has a cute gator on it. It does make your stability hand a little tired though lol.

Glass jar was broken upon arrival
The glass was broken inside the box, but the grinder itself was still functional and fit on a pickle jar, so we just used that instead ha

Works well
I thought about an electric herb grinder for the same price. Glad I went manual. I am very satisfied with the performance of this grinder. Don’t really care about whole bean vs grounds. Just want my caffeine boost. I can appreciate the manual grind as I grind herb daily. I only grind what I need per use but you can easily grind as much as you want to speed up the process. I prepare my coffee in a moka pot and a fine grind bean for 6oz of espresso takes about five minutes at casual speed. Very impressed by the grind selection. The smallest selection is very much like fine espresso. I pack my funnel and the smallest setting was too small for my pot. I was easily able to literally dial in the perfect ground size for my pot. Will be interesting to see how long this will last with daily use.

Works Great; Don’t Be in a Hurry
Absolutely simple to use, and produces a quality grind via its classic burr mill design. It can take a bit of time to use; an 8-cup pour over brew would probably require 12-15 minutes of grinding, depending on your preferred coarseness level.Regardless, it’s simple to use, easy to clean and store, does exactly what it’s supposed to do (and well), and only makes a pleasant grinding noise when you use it (opposed to an ear-splitting electric motor screech and rattle).
