Shimano makes quality parts that just work.
Shimano never lets me down. I found a great deal on new rims for my gravel bike, but had to adapt them to 6 bolt configuration. These worked perfectly and they were easy to install. I now have upgraded rims and better tires on my Giant gravel bike. These are a great value for the money and allow you to adapt various rim brands.

It's STEEL and it WORKS!
I needed a new Centerlock adapter to replace an aluminum Bontrager model that I managed to wear out the threads after replacing probably my third rotor (I commute 20-40 miles a day). They did not strip due to cross threading, at least that I could tell, but just from too many removal/install cycles using a calibrated torque wrench (for the final torque step after hand threading). Before I hit the 40nM point, the resistance just went from slight to nothing. Removal saw little bits of thread come out. I was worried they were bits of the Shimano dynamo hub, but they were not magnetic and definitely felt aluminum. That preface out the way, the Shimano Centerlock adapter works fine. It comes with six bolts, with thread locker already applied, and ready to go. Installing it was a cinch using a torque wrench in the usual manner. The locknut portion was easy to start the install by hand, but you do need the appropriate adapter to complete the tightening. If I am wrong, I will correct it, but I am fairly certain I used a Park Tool BBT-49, now the 49.2 model Park Tool Bottom Bracket Tool - BBT-49.2 Black, 39mm, bottom bracket tool along with a 3/8" torque wrench such as this Tekton, which I also use TEKTON 24330 3/8-Inch Drive Click Torque Wrench (10-80 ft.-lb./13.6-108.5 Nm).The big selling point is that it is steel, so I expect no issues with thread damage. If you need a new adapter, I highly recommend this one, a genuine Shimano piece.

Caution: Those are NOT T10 Screw Heads!!!
I’m seeing several negative reviews about this product relating to stripping bolts and that these are cheap T10 bolts. These are NOT T10 bolts. These are T15 bolts. With torx bolts, usually one size down can turn the bolt often will strip the bolt before the bolt is turned to torque spec. The user should always use the larger Torx bit that fits in the head among the many sizes. On a different matter, there are essentially zero instructions for how to install this/orient the parts. If you don’t install these regularly, you might have to think a bit about it. Moreover, I’ll note this product seems unnecessarily heavy especially compared to the DT Swiss version.I only ended up using the base with the bolt acceptors and DT Swiss parts for the rest. Like another reviewer, I took a Dremel with a metal grinding bit to grind down the lock ring so I could fit the rotor magnet for my electric bike Trek Allant+ 7s.

Works with 223mm rotors on Orbea E-bike w/modification
As others have mentioned; this is a good adapter and needs to go on one way, even though it looks like it flips both ways. With this adapter, I went from using a 203mm Shimano (XT MT800, ice tech) up to a TRP 223mm rotor (the TRP 223mm 2.3mm thick rotor does not come in center lock). The MT800 is a fantastic rotor, but since I have been riding more trails with extended steep descents + 50lb e-bike, I needed an even more insane rotor.Out of the box install positioned the rotor and speed sensor in contact with the frame (see photos).I lapped/wet sanded and removed just a hair over 1mm of material from the 6-bolt adapter, sanding the side that contacts the rotor (see photo). This solved my problem (before and after photos)!Other than that this works awesome!

Less intuitive then I thought, read the directions and it works perfect
Since buying these I've also found the Origin8 style of adapter which is not only easier to install but is easier to replace the rotor on when it wears out and doesn't rely on tiny, hard to replace torx screws. So while this is good, the other style is better and knocks a star off of this.Might have been too tired when I first tried to install them as they didn't seem as simplistic as I expected them to be. 2 minutes glancing over the instructions and they installed perfectly fine. Had to realign the brakes which should be expected when changing wheels and rotors. These made the decision of the newest set of wheels I'm building for my touring bike easier, building centerlock hubs as these are easy to install and should something happen on a tour they'll increase the odds that I can get a rotor that fits by allowing me to buy centerlock or bolt on rotors.

Go with these
I saw a review on the “easier to install” center lock adapters (the ones that press in and then thread on, no bolts). I have them. After 800 miles they have started to create a divit in the metal that is the main part of the center lock adapter, which worries me. Bought these to replace them and the bolts fit snug with no movement like the other alternative. When it comes to braking I’d like to make sure nothing is going to break over time rendering a crash or mechanical failure far from home. Go with these and take the extra time to install the 6 bolts, it’ll be worth it and safer for you while riding.

Perfect fit - perfect performance
Worked perfectly to mount a shimano disc rotor to a center lock config.
