Philips Norelco Replacement Shaver Head HQ56

Amazon's product description, as of the writing of this review, says this "Replaces philips norelco hq55 shaver heads." Despite their aversion to the capitalization of proper nouns, I assume they are talking about the Philips Norelco HQ 55 Reflex Replacement Heads , which is what I had been using up until Amazon seemingly stopped carrying them. I can confirm these replacement heads work with the 6843XL, which is what I use. The box says to replace them every twelve months, but I've been replacing them every six. I find it's better for my skin, and the six-month Subscribe & Save delivery interval lets me roll on autopilot. So which other razors will these replacement heads fit? I have no idea, but... The box says they fit: 31DB, 6423, 6613, 6843, 6853, 6863, 6940. And the box for the Philips Norelco HQ 55 Reflex Replacement Heads -- which Amazon says this product replaces -- indicates they fit the following models: 34--, 36--, 38--, 44--, 46--, 48--, 66--, 69--, 5413, 5426, 5430, 5625, 5812, 5813, 5817, 5820, 5823, 5824, 6405, 6415, 6423, 6424, 6445, 6831, 6842, 6843, 6844, 6849, 6853, 6854, 6855, 6856, 6857, 6859, 6861, 6863, 6868, 6874, 6879. Turned my old dog of a razor in to a new pup. Works better than from the factory.

I purchased the Norelco Shaver Replacement Heads for my corded Norelco shaver (I have no idea what the huge benefit is of a colorless shaver. I currently use the Micro Action Plus Model 5426LC. The last time I purchased Norelco Shaver Replacement Heads (for the very same shaver), it was the HQ4 Plus. Before that, I bought the HQ4. The Norelco Hq56/52 fit perfectly and works as well as the previous models. [Is there something about Shaver Replacement Heads and "coin" sized batteries that requires the makers to constantly change the model number for no good reason? Is this a mild irritant to anyone else?] The product was delivered promptly and in perfect shape. I recommend the purchase of this product, and it is sold on Amazon for a fair price.

Fit fine but it doesn’t seem to cut as well as the originals

First, these original manufacturer replacement blades work just fine. No pulling and discomfort so often associated with cheaper "knock-off" blades. However, even with these OEM blades, a user can experience discomfort and a poor shave if they mix the blades and heads that come in the sealed package. Bear in mind that these have been manufactured and ground as matching sets. You will get the best experience when you carefully keep each blade with it's corresponding head. And later, when cleaning, ensure you don't mix the blades with the other heads in the set or you will suddenly have poor shaving ahead of you. Recently, I was trying to brush out the head module and accidentally disassembled it. All the parts went scattering across the counter and floor. With 3 blades and 3 heads there was no way I was going to get each blade back with it's corresponding head - the odds were against me. And sure enough, once reassembled, I didn't get nearly the quality shave I was getting the day before. I suppose one could mark each part when first opening the package and thus ensuring the pieces always stay together. Otherwise, enjoy your renewed shaving experience.

I had not changed the blades on my electric razor in years (I know better). What a difference new blades make! And since these are OEM, I have zero issues with them. Unfortunately, when I ordered the blades, there was no indication they were out-of-stock. In fact, the delivery date showed within a few days. I had to "re-authorize" the order 3 times (if I remember the correctly) because of the delay and wait about a month.

These are SUPPOSED to be replacements for my shaver, but they lack the anti-spin ears.

Imagine my chagrin at reading Norelco's recommendation of replacing these blades every 6 months to a year. With almost 10 years on my original blades, I was getting frustrated with my poor shaving experiences with my wonderful (at new) Norelco shaver. A new equivelent was near $200 and frankly, this shaver wasn't broken, just worn... New blades might be the answer. I got on Amazon.com and found them easily, priced competitively, and with prior experience with Amazon, I ordered them. They arrived a couple of days later (earlier than expected) and immediately went to work. I have a new shaver! for the price of the blades! Great price, great product = great experience.

Most easy to use and clean

Es importante mencionar que la utilicé para la rasuradora Philips modelo AT610, aunque es compatible con cualquier otro modelo AT6##. Desde que cambié las cuchillas, se ve inmediatamente el cambio en la mejora de la rasurada, anteriormente tenía que completar la rasurada con rastrillo ya que las cuchillas anteriores no lograban cortar todo. Ahora veo que rasura muy bien y no requiero del rastrillo. El servicio de entrega de Amazon fué muy bueno, llegó antes de la fecha prometida, una pequeño detalle es que el empaque de las cuchillas llegó ligeramente doblado pero no afectó en nada a las cuchillas, por lo cual no lo calificó como negativo. Muy recomendable para rasuradoras Philips modelos AT6##.

The original manufacturer is far superior to" All the Substitute offers" in every aspect of PERFORMANCE. Price is not considered as NORELCO is the USA marketing branch of PHILIPS (Holland), and lasts for a couple of years before it needs replacing. So save your money by having an excellent shave every time.
