PennWrath Spinning Reel and Fishing Rod Combo

I have had good luck with this combo, my son did not with his, as the end of pole snapped off when he caught a 2# fish

OK this is my second review which I guess Amazon does not allow me to have both reviews on this site. My first rod was damaged completely broken from the middle. Returned it to UPS as towed still have not got my confirmation from Amazon about my return so I’m ready to confront them if they charge me on my debit card for extra cost. Received my second rod, which is in the picture that you see now I’m tired I’m not going to return this one again. The problem is I ordered an 8 foot they sent me a 7ft. I guess I can live with it. I did get it on sell I really was after the spinning reel because I’m gonna beef it up on the drag washers and the bearings. It’s cheaper for me this way than spending a lot of money. But I do love my Penn pursuits. Anyways, they did a better job on securing this item with a smaller box so I’m grateful this one came fully intact. It is one of Penn’s cheaper rod and reel’s so I guess I’m satisfied for what it is. And I’m very grateful the sped up to the delivery receiving it today on a Thursday instead of the weekend that I plan to go out with this rod.

The rod did get lost in the mail through USPS the first time, but after receiving my replacement for the missing one I was quite impressed—very smooth action, well constructed for its price point. But the performance is absolutely great. I caught a 7-foot sting ray and plenty of black drums. I definitely recommend it as a product that can be abused and can take it.

I purchased this pole as an upgrade from all the fishing poles I've ever had. This pole is mechanically sound and is quality made. Professional fisherman have complemented me on this fishing rod. The rod has smooth operation and is easy to assemble. I love it.
