Awesome Pairing Knife
Best pairing knife I have purchased, my go too brand before was Chicago. Global is def more pricey, however its been well worth the price. Its not light, which is good, it has weight to it which helps with cutting. Its easy to grip with all the little holes, it does get a little slippery if your hands are wet since its metal however thats easy to work around, just keep your hands dry. Overall awesome knife, cuts well, cleans easily.

small but mighty
After trying out numerous knives (places like sur la table will allow you to cut as many potatoes as you want with all of their display knives), I went with global as the knives are a decent size and weight for my small hands but my husband with his giant king kong fists finds them comfortable to use as well.I highly recommend the entire line, especially if you're someone with smaller hands and find giant knives a bit cumbersome. This paring knife is obviously the smallest in the line, but it's very sharp and I have used it for more than just peeling and small intricate work like pitting cherries.

Very sharp blade, slender handle
I like the slender handle, which I hold with my fingers, not in a "fist". This is not the knife for jobs that require power -- you will want a knife with a thicker, rounder handle for those jobs. This is a knife for jobs that require finesse. It is perfect for hulling strawberries, or similar fine work.I've had other Global knives, and I enjoy the extremely sharp (and narrow) edge and how long they remain sharp. It's also extremely easy to clean, as it's all one piece, with no joints or cracks.

sharp and precise
Great paring knife, the only reason not to put 5 stars is due to the handle - it is too thin to hold comfortably but quite heavy compared to the blade

Great paring knife
Needed a good kitchen knife and Anthony Bourdain actually recommended this one in his book Kitchen Confidential. Definitely a great knife. Easy to use and looks good. I ordered this one along with the larger chefs knife.

Global is my go-to knife.
I really love my Global knives. I have a variety of excellent knives in my kitchens, but I always reach for these first. It appears that someone else reached for my little Global paring knife (waaa!) but this is reasonable replacement. The blade is actually larger than my original, so I'll be looking for another tiny Global paring knife to augment my collection. In the meantime, this one will serve nicely.Love the heft, the balance, the assurance that blade & shaft won't separate, and the easy grip. Holds an edge well, but do insure you're using an Asian-angled sharpener.I certainly recommend it.
