Review: A Heartwarming Tale of Contentment - The Whale Who Wanted More is a beautiful addition to the collection by Rachel Bright and Jim Field. The story follows a whale searching for fulfillment in material things, only to discover that connection and friendship are what truly matter. The rhyming prose makes it a delight to read out loud, and the vibrant illustrations bring the underwater world to life in a way that is both funny and touching. It’s a perfect book for teaching children (and reminding adults) that the best things in life aren't "things" at all. Review: Interesting - Rachel Bright has written a beautiful and captivating rhyming story where lines are going smoothly. This story tells about a whale Humphrey who is always in search for something. He doesn’t know exactly what but he is sure that he will find it as he goes about collecting all sorts of treasures and trinkets from the ocean. His finds often fill him with happiness but it isn’t long before he feels empty again and starts for searching something else until he stumbles on the most beautiful of coral reefs. It looks ripe for the picking and collecting of more stuff but a brave crab is determined to stop Humphrey. Crab gives some life-changing advice that could help Humphrey find what he has really been searching for... This book often asks readers as to where happiness is truly found. Are possessions really that important or happiness can be found in something else? This book gives us so many valuable moral and environmental lessons not only to children but also to adults who are reading this book about the damage we humans are causing to the ocean as Humphrey collects the flotsam and jetsam that have been left in the water. The book has wonderful attention grabbing pictures and words which can be easily read by the children.
