Review of the Huepar 603CG Three Plane 360 Laser Level
I’ve only had it for a couple weeks, but this laser level has been very good so far. The features, quality, and price seem to be a great value. I tried it at out both at a couple residential settings and one larger commercial ‘work site’ (that was well lit) and it performed as good as other common brands used on job sites. I only have experience with Dewalt and Bosch red laser levels, and I’ve seen a few Hilti green laser levels. So, while I can’t compare it directly to a Dewalt three plane 360 12v lithium version - that unit/kit is about $550+ and doesn’t offer as many features as the Huepar 603CG does. I'll update if any issues come up.Pros/Features:-Three power supply methods: 1. Lithium ion battery pack. (Included; 2600mAh. And extras are pretty commonly available and affordable as a camera style battery). 2. AC power source. (You can plug the unit into 120v power [receptacle/outlet] using the power adapter/charging cord (included) *with or without* any battery(ies) in it). 3. Four “Double A” / 4 x “AA” batteries (included) that go into a battery holder (included), which is then inserted into the same port as the supplied lithium ion pack goes into.-Pendulum Lock: (Mechanically locks the pendulum(s) for the laser emitters/diffusers for safety transportation).-Three 360* Plane Green Lasers: This is great for construction trades, DIY, and home owner stuff. The two vertical planes are (obviously) plumb, and perpendicular to each other, so they provide you with a plumb “cross”/point on the ground and the ceiling, making hanging rows of light fixtures, joists, pipe runs or anything overhead precise and neat looking. This is an advantage over laser levels that only project a pair of plumb “dots” on the ground and ceiling.-1/4” And 5/8” Mounting threads (laser and mount): Both the laser level itself and the magnetic pivoting mount have 1/4”-20 and 5/8”-11 mounting threads. All the options are covered. Also, the magnetic mount is definitely strong enough.-Illuminated Battery Indicator: It has a bright, upward facing/easy to see, red led battery status/remaining indicator with four(!) levels, so you have a clear idea of how much batter life is left.Cons(?) / Nitpicks / Notes: -There’s not much negative to say--The pendulum lock button isn’t the easiest to use due to the shape or “ergonomics” of the button itself. This is definitely a nitpick. There are “serrations” on the “slide” type button, but they don’t help much. An easier to grip/manipulate shaped switch would be better. :)-The laser itself puts out a couple of light “artifacts” (which are just refractions from the ends of the glass panes that surround the laser diffuser cones). *It doesn’t affect anything about how the device works* and you probably won’t even notice it at all.-I wish the laser beam itself was brighter, I just do. I’m not saying it’s not bright enough; it’s bright and visible, and better on some materials than others - just like every laser. But if I could choose I’d want it brighter, that’s all.Sum up: The Huepar 603CG is a great buy; it feels sturdy, has a rubber over-mold, comes with a great (soft but very well padded) carrying case with shoulder/hand strap, and is about half the price of the competitor(s) - yet has many additional features. Time will tell how it holds up. Also worth noting is Huepar / Levelsure customer service is very good. They’ve been answering all my questions about the laser, they’re timely and respectful, etc. All good so far.

Top Beam would not work... * Updated* : Exchanged and new one is great.
Packaging was great, but the top Beam, which is what we basically bought it for, never worked. I just filled out the paperwork to send it back, and got a new replacement. I'll gladly change this review once I get a fully working one...... Now, we are 2 weeks out on our plans to get this work done. This should not happen. The packaging isso well done, I struggle to believe this happened in shipping. I know it's possible, but I'd bet it left not working.** UPDATED **Ok, as you know the first one had only 2 of 3 lasers working, and the one that did not work was the main one that we needed to do our work. So, I lost about a week and a 1/2 sending this back, and having them ship the new one. I do have to give credit where it's due. I was able to cross ship. In other words, when I sent the bad one back, they also sent the new one at the same time, so this greatly reduced the delay in getting my replacement. I have tested the new one, and I updated my review to 5 stars from 3. I did this because of the way they handled my problem, and the speediness of which they got me a new one. Also, testing this one out on my floor, it seems quite bright and certainly looks to be fairly straight forward to use. We did get the receiver, and also bought a 16' bar to use with this up to 200'. I included some pics to show you both in the dark, and with a quite bright light in my place. Th beams are pretty bright.

Works Well
I checked this level against my son's DeWalt red laser level in a darkened garage. The horizontal lines were identical at 28 feet away and 28 feet wide. The vertical lines at 28 feet were very close. They were against each other at the bottom of the wall. At the top eight feet up they were less than 1/16th of an inch apart. It was impossible to tell which laser level was more accurate, but either is more accurate than a long spirit level.Inside the green light is easier to see than the red at all light levels. Outside the green laser is easier to see than the red, but legal light output limits are the fault here. Don't think that you will be able to see the green line in bright sunshine at any significant distance. On an overcast day I was able to find the green line about 20 feet away with some difficulty. By using the laser target which has a reflective strip on it, I was able to spot the bright green spot emitting from the laser by looking at the reflection of the light when my eye was at the correct level. Probably not the safest practice, but it is usable at longer distances during the daylight. I have not tried it in direct sunlight yet. I do not have a laser detector, but may get one in the future. I can usually wait until the sun is low enough to use the level effectively at longer distances.Using a pair of green laser glasses does help somewhat, but it is not a dramatic difference.Overall I am quite happy with my purchase. Hopefully the longevity of this tool will be good.

Great for indoor use, good value for money
So far I've used this to do a medium large kitchen remodel and tile (about 300 square feet). The 360 degree projection makes it easy to set up a tripod anywhere in the room. It was great for laying out tile and leveling cabinets. I compared it with another "known good" laser level (that I had previously tested with a water tube) and it was dead on accurate for self leveling (at least out to 20 feet, which was as far as I tried).I was happy to see that both a removable Lithium battery and AA cell battery holder were included. This eliminates the possibility of being stuck with a dead battery pack. The Lithium battery recharges inside the device and the laser can be used while plugged in to the charger. Minor annoyance, very short cord on wall wart charger and I would have preferred a USB type charging connector. If possible, I'd subtract half a star for visibility. The green laser can be difficult to see when the room is illuminated with bright sunlight. For this reason, I don't think I would recommend it for outdoor use unless you were using a laser detector. I was aware of this based on other reviewer's comments. In normal artificial lighting it works fine and can be easily seen on walls and floors. Visibility is exactly comparable to the yellow brand name red laser (which I also find somewhat hard to see in direct sunlight).A soft case for the device and accessories with protective foam insert was included. The pendulum has a lock switch for horizontal angles (haven't used but might be handy). Overall I'm very pleased with this laser, especially for the price.Note - I'd been using a more expensive 3 beam cross laser (red), which is also a good product but requires too much manipulation and reorientation since you are usually forced to work outward from a corner position in a room. I have found that a 360 degree laser is much superior in this regard.
