This is one of the few items available to join 1.25 and 1.5 inch hoses. I'm sure it would work fine for vacuum connections; but I needed it for a return line. Since it lacks any rubber gasket, it didn't work as well as I hoped for a return line which is under pressure rather than under suction. Quality product, not doubt good for some applications, but didn't really work for my application. Don't regret the purchase though, as I'll probably find another use for it at some point.

We have a 5500 gal intex easy set pool. We bought a vacuum from Leslie's and the hose adapter didn't work so we bought 3 others that also didn't work. I was required to stand in the pool and hold the 2 hoses together while my husband vacuumed and vice versa. Real dumb. Finally, this adapter works perfectly and the pool gets clean in half the time because I can help clean instead of holding the hose.

This item looks and works fine, except for one small flaw. The way it's made, there is a seam where the two half-tubes are put together. This, along with the fact that it doesn't have a gasket, means that it leaks a little water. I haven't found a way to stop the leaking yet, but I'm working on it.

This adapter filled a much needed device to couple the 1 1/2" to 1 1/4" Intex hoses . It allows you to couple to the pool cleaning hose with ease.

needed a connector to use pool hose to clean pool floor. Current filter pump had smaller inlet/outlet hoses and needed to retro fit to use a larger sized hose.

My husband is mad because the fitting was not a true 1 1/2. rather than return it he had to tape it together.
