This is my third pair of these shoes. They are exceptionally comfortable for paved or gravel road running. That being said, they are not really designed for rougher trail terrain, lacking a sturdy base or anything to provide needed stability internally in the shoe. They remain very plush in the heal and mid foot areas for extended mileage, while the fore foot does diminish somewhat. They are also perfect as a slip on running around town shoe. Very breathable and cool, but I use in temperatures in the single digits and snow with a warm sock adequately.

They may not make a fashion statement but you will not find a more comfortable sneakers anywhere. Only downside is the sole material wears down more quickly than other brands.

I bought these because I needed something to wear when not at work. I've had two pairs of Merrell hiking shoes that I've used for work for about two years, and I can't find any wear on them at all. I walk approximately 5 miles each work day, four or five days a week, so I have a high regard for Merrell. The new shoes are not white or black or grey and they look good. The only downside was that it took more than three weeks to be delivered. I assume because of my size, 11W, and the supplier was on the other side of the country. But, they got here, they fit, they look good, I love them.

and Amazon refuses to publish this review. no shoe box? everyone can see what i ordered. please help a customer understand how these are not counterfeit. and my first pair of these in black and purchased July 2023 are different in mid and outsole color than what's offered here. so who knows whether or not these are authentic, but i prefer a shoe box for authenticity.as for the shoe, i walk the dog every single day in them. the are a womens wide and fit me GREAT. the cushion is memory foam though which i think has no purpose in shoes b/c it's too soft. so soft in fact that i added a fithotic insole from an older pair of Merrells. and the outer fabric vents very well in hot humid days, but it also absorbs morning dew off grass and seems to stay wet for 2 days, causing a funky odor to develop until i get them outside in the sun. overall, for $40 to $80, these are worth it, but i wouldn't pay more.

I've tried different hiking shoes and i keep going back to Merrell. I love my Moab 3's but they're heavy and hot. These are a good shoe for what I do; dayhikes. There is a very short, if any, break-in period. This is the 3rd pair that i have purchased. They last me around a year. I use them for daily dog walks, around town as well as hikes
