This is exactly what you think it is. That standard, heavyweight, glass sugar shaker that you find at your favorite late night diner. I absolutely love this style that feels retro to me. The size, and weight, are perfect and as long as you don't get any moisture on the top lid it should be easy to keep clean. It's exactly what you expect at the right price point, five stars.

Looks great but the hole could be larger to improve functionality
I use granulated Splenda instead of sugar and have to seriously and continuously tap the top while tipped downward to get a flow. I may drill it out larger. But it's a good looking piece on the countertop, and serves its purpose (with a little extra work).

It is a crystal clear glass container normally, so that you can see through it and see what’s inside. It provides the perfect restaurant feel to my coffee section of the counter. It is easy to open and clean when needed. It does its job very well and doesn’t spill sugar all over the counter when used.
