Another happy review here. Thermometer readings are very accurate, the handle does a very good job of heat insulation, the spout has the perfect angle of attack that prevents pours from dribbling back down the outside of the spout, no rusting at all. My only complaint is that my thermometer does get water condensation in it, but it isn't consistently occurring. Doesn't bother me at all since I already consider myself having gotten all the utility out of this pot for what I paid. Not even worth docking a star because it's not an issue to me, but still worth mentioning in the spirit of being honest. Another reviewer mentioned that this makes noice when boiling. For some reason, mine is quiet as a mouse when boiling.

Coffee accessories can be really expensive. When all you want to do is make a really nice cup, not show off how much you can spend on luxury paraphernalia, you need a kettle that's built well, pours cleanly, and has a reasonably accurate thermometer. This covers those bases. It doesn't need to do more than that. It doesn't need colorways or wavy sides. It doesn't need a teak handle. It's good, and it doesn't cost more than it needs to.Other reviews have indicated there might be quality control issues, which wouldn't be surprising for a Chinese-made stainless item, but I've been using mine for around two years now with no problems.

I have had other pour over kettles with built in thermometers. While not having the "beehive" design of others, this kettle looks nice and works well. I bought it in part because of the plastic ring around the thermometer on the lid which allows you to open it while hot to add water or adjust the temperature by adding a little cold water. The thermometer is slightly smaller than some others, making it a little difficult to be ultra precise, but the green wedge puts you in the right temperature range for good coffee. Other members of my family use the kettle for making teas, allowing them to find approximate temperatures for the different types of tea they brew.I have had this since October and taken care never to let it get too hot or boil til dry. In spite of careful use, the plastic ring has cracked. It doesn't look great, but it still works.

Five stars for the perfect cup of tea, appearance, durability and easy to clean, at least for the first month or so. I am very pleased with the concept and continue to use the kettle, despite the embarrassingly grungy appearance of the thermometer which no longer registers.One star for the thermometer that began to show condensation within the first several weeks. Appropriate temperature for tea is well below the boiling point; the water reaches the boiling point but the temperature does not register. The thermometer appears dirty, and is no longer easily readable nor is it accurate.Would it be possible to get a new lid? The kettle itself is still quite perfect and I miss my perfect brewing temp! Properly brewing coffee requires all the right ingredients, the right grind, the right amount, and water heated to the right temperature. This kettle makes it easy to heat your water right where it needs to be for the perfect pour over, and the precision spout is just what you need to distribute your pour evenly over the grounds.

This was a gift to my son, the amateur barista who has used it everyday since Christmas. This pot is solidly made and the thermometer is great for ensuring the correct water temperatures are reached before pouring over coffee. Recommend this pot for any coffee or tea lover.

I love the thermometer on here. Allows me to brew tea at the perfect temperature. Just wish it were a little bigger, but if you only 1-2 cups at a time it shoukd be fine.

If you are a coffee lover, meaning gourmet coffee lover - and have different brewing preparation, this Gooseneck is perfect, keeps our control of water *heat* and provides a great neck for control over the pouring

Nice product but the 'Made In China' sticker on the bottom heating is almost impossible to get off. Be prepared to take a long time trying to get it off. Probably something like Goo Gone would work, but I don't have any and don't want to go out and buy some just for this ridiculous sticker.
