This was PERFECT for what we needed!!
We had searched everywhere locally for a mailbox to replace ours, it was destroyed. The box is in a stucco tower and could not be removed without cracking and ruining the tower. This was exactly what we needed! Thank you!!

Exactly what I needed!
Outstanding product. I just purchased a historic home in San Diego that was missing several period appropriate pieces including the mailbox door. This design allows for the mail to drop right into the house as originally intended. Exactly what I was looking for!

Works great and is good looking
Be sure to get this when in stock because there are some vendors overcharging for this.Be aware also that you will have to cut off the front of the old mailbox with a power tool. Do NOT try to take the entire old mailbox out of a bricked-in enclosure, it will not come out. Watch Youtubes on it. Even if you go beast-mode and pry it out, you will not get a replacement mailbox from the big-box store to fit back in if the old one was concreted in place. So get this one. It's solid, works great, and looks great. after my neighbor saw mine he ordered one.Cut the old one out, caulk this one in place and you are good to go.

Great Product. Makes my mailbox look like brand new!
I really didn't know what I was going to do. Bricked up mailbox stand with a metal mailbox door and much of the mailbox rusted away. The door fell off so I knew I needed to do something. Then along comes Better Box Mailboxes! It might seem a bit pricey but really it is a quality product. Even has a spring action to ensure the door is always closed. All I had to do was take my grinder and cut off the exposed part of my mailbox. The part sticking out from the bricks...about an inch. Then I test fitted the replacement door to make sure it fit. I used liquid nails to glue the door into place. Looks very professional and a heck of a lot cheaper then hiring someone to tear down or open up the brick stand to insert a new metal box.My mailbox needed a little more TLC though as the floor was rotted out with holes. This will not fix that. So I went up to the hardware store and bought a small sheet of aluminum to fit right into the box. I bent the end to form a lip at the back of the box so that I would have an extra glue point and used the liquid nails to hold it in.Great product if your mailbox is like mine was. Not designed for any thing but replacing bricked/concreted mailboxes that stick out from the bricks/concrete.

Great replacement for mailbox set in brick
This is a high quality product. It is very durable with significant weight and thickness. It screams quality.Installation can be a bit challenging if you're not used to using power tools. There's a YouTube video which outlines the process. I'd recommend using an angle grinder with a cutting and masonry wheel. Whole process took me about an hour since it was the first time I used an angle grinder.I couldn't find a clear silicone -adhesive- (not caulk) at Home Depot. A lot of the reviews for adhesives at Home Depot were pretty bad except for liquid nails fuze it. Only thing. It's gray instead of clear. It works really well saving me from having to drill the screws into the brick. That would have been challenging given the cramped space.Make sure the mailbox sits flush against the brick!!! Otherwise you'll have a gap. See photos. Wish I outlined the box with a sharpie and then ground down the brick just a fraction of an inch so it sits a little inside the brick (see other users photos!).Anyway. This is a superb replacement for my rusted and flimsy metal box. Definitely worth it.

Great replacement mailbox door!!
My mailbox is built into a tall brick structure, which is very common in Texas. When the mailbox door rusted and broke off, I had to find a way to fix it without breaking the brick, and I found this company’s website. This is made of heavy, durable metal. I had to cut off about an inch of my old mailbox, but that was hardest part of the installation. The outer edge of this product covered the sharp, uneven cut edge, so it looks great! I love the spring that closes the door because my mail carrier loves to leave mailbox doors open, allowing rain to soak everyone’s mail. Grrrrrr

No-brainer
This is a no-brainer and wish I found this option 2-years ago when I spent way too many hours replacing and finding a mailbox that has had the door fail already. The big box stores or local hardware stores don’t sell any option like this. Get your weekend back and install this product that provides a better finished look with minimal effort.A small sawzall, tin snips and a pair of gloves is best for existing door removal. The install is painless.

Very High Quality and Easy Installation
My original mailbox is mortared into the brick and the door fell off due to age and rust. Instead of paying hundreds of dollars in labor to remove and install another mailbox in the same archaic fashion, I decided to purchase this version. Let me tell you......This is well worth the investment and it’s built to last. Very easy installation - took me approx 30 mins. Replaced the knob with a brushed silver to match my doors knobs. Neighbors loved it so much - they ordered one and I installed it for them.
