Digirig Xiegu G90 and X5105 Cables Mobile Digital Modes Interface

I somehow lost one of my cables (the audio cable w/the DIN connector) so I decided to buy a new matching pair of cables. Best decision I could've made! Plugged them into the audio and cat ports of my Xiegu G90 and into the Digirig, then the Digirig into my laptop running a custom build of Ubuntu Linux. After some minor setup I was able to use the radio for JS8Call and Pat Winlink successfully. I then tested using my Surface Go 3 running FLRig, JS8Call, WSJT-X and (using VARA HF) both Winlink Express and VarAC - AM OF IT works! Got cables with ferrite beads are ESSENTIAL when using digital communications with Amateur Radio. These high quality cables made my life much easier and I highly recommend them.

Great quality cables but a bit expensive for what they are. Work well though and are well designed. I don't mind paying a bit extra for a smaller businesses like this.

Let me help you out if you are wondering about whether you an use this cable to output via a TRRS to TRS split cable (a female end split into a microphone 1/8-inch (3.5mm) TRS jack and a speaker output 1/8-inch (3.5mm) TRS jack all so you can use a non-digiRig DAC (external usb sound card) - YOU CAN'T. The way this cable is wired is the G90's PTT signal is tied to the SLEEVE. The GROUND is at TIP 3. The AF-IN is at Tip 2, the AF-OUT is at TIP 1. If you use a TRRS to TRS split mic/speaker out cable and fully plug them into the external DAC's mic/speaker-out, THE WIRE WILL ENGAGE THE ***PTT*** ON THE G90 (the attached handheld mic transmit LED will show GREEN but the G90 face will show RED (and will show it is indeed transmitting. Using a digiRig this cable will work 100%. I tried initially to use this cable and an external stereo mic DAC and it didn't work. Ran a continuity test to find out the cable does match up with the G90's 8-pin mini DIN layout but of course it doesn't work if you use a TRRS -> dual split mic/speaker or headphone out TRS jack cable. You're going to have to build a cable yourself if you go the non-digiRig route. This cable is intended for digiRig device only - and it is indeed a quality cable with proper EMI ferrites attached. Some complain the length of the cable being to long but I find it just right and it doesn't bother me. Much better to use this cable to attach the G90 to a small little digiRig with two cables than that fat usb-CAT cable and another set of cabling making it a big mess. Simply find the serial com on PC or /dev/cu or /dev/tty/ of the digiRig and FLRIG and any middleware program will work. I could not build a better cable and it's expensive for something so basic but I can't build a better one so this one is great!

I run FT8 with my X5105 and these Digirig cables. They're much less noisy than my homemade cables, must be the ferrite beads.

These cables are neccesary for use of the Digirig interface with the Xiegu G90.

Companion cables to the digirig. Work fine. Just could be a bit longer.

Set up these cables onto the G90 radio and worked almost immediately. Very happy with the quality of these cables .
