Easy to assemble, simple, and looks great. Battery size stated AAA but took AA. Has a tick but not loud at all.

I bought a beautiful ceramic tide clock but unfortunately it had a 12 hour clock work in it making it useless as a tide clock, but I bought this tide clock for $7 something and it is keeping great time. After 4 days, it's spot on with the tides.My son wanted to keep the tide clock on his boat, so I bought another one and bought this 'tide' clock at the same time, replacing it immediately. Unfortunately, this one is just a regular 12 clock movement. It is out of sync with the tide in just a couple days.Now do I try to buy this tide clock again hoping I get a correct one? I don't know.

This was to replace a dead movement on a 4 year old tidal clock. Installing it was easy and the unit appeared identical to the original movement. It is tough to believe that these things have such a limited life span and hope that the defect of the original was a one time event.

The tide clock works. But the hand is a garbage. It was bent when it came. And now it is bent on the clock and I can’t get it to look straight or even. But this is like the only one Amazon sells ?
