Absolute steal!
So I bought this microphone to have as a way to talk to my friends while playing games, and it is extremely solid. Keep in mind I make music, and have been making music for about 4 years now, so I have a pretty good idea of what gives good audio, and what doesn't. I saw this mic, and immediately I compared it to my SM7B with it's design, and I decided "why not?" This microphone is literally a 10/10, the best bang for your buck. I'll make a Pros and Cons list below Pros: - Price - Included shock mount (so it doesn't produce a lot of sound when you hit it) - Dynamic (gets rid of background noise, and it's actually better at this than the SM7B) - Has great build (everywhere except gain knob) - Attached pop filter that works extremely well - Good for podcasting Cons: - Plastic gain knob - Touch sensitive muting (could be a pro, but often times I didn't even realize I muted my mic) - (EXCLUSIVE TO SOMEONE WHO WANTS PRO RECORDINGS) Not very high quality mic, doesn't pick up a very full range Honestly I really do think this is the best possible starter microphone. Whether you're using it for podcasting or gaming, and to an extent for recording music, it will work extremely well. If you're considering this microphone or any other budget starter microphones, like any of the blue microphones, I think this one is a much much better bang for your buck. Comparing this to the SM7B (because that's the most popular microphone like this) I still think this takes the cake. The SM7B is known for having that Broadcaster sound to it because it pushes out the lower ends and the mids of your voice to give it that compressed sound. So how does this microphone stand against that? Still amazingly well. This microphone also pushes lows and mids, but it does it through a built in equalizer. It gives that exact sound you want if you're wanting a SM7B. Overall, great microphone, great price, just buy it.

Quality audio from a brand I’ve never heard of
I went from a blue snowball, to a blue yeti, and now I’m here with this microphone. I got it open box from Amazon since the Amazon price didn’t match the website price but it did after I bought it unfortunately. Anyway, this is by far the best USB mic on the market if not top 3. I did my research and watched tons of review videos and there was one that stood out. It was a blind comparison test between like 5-6 microphones? The best sounding one I was convinced there was no way was this mic and that I had to do research on that microphone that I just heard. WELL, turns out, that astonishing crisp audio I heard WAS actually this mic and so my purchase was immediate after listening to that. I definitely recommend this mic to people that want superb noise isolation, have a boom arm, and sit in roughly the same place while streaming or gaming because this mic captures great sound but only to what is directly in front of it. If you get even a few inches away from your usual, you’ll sound much more quieter to your audience. It is just plug and play so it was easy to setup. I played around a little with the gain and in computer sound settings and I got it just right. OH, FORGOT TO MENTION THE TOUCH TO MUTE. IT IS AMAZING. My blue yeti was notorious for having this awful clicking in button to mute and if that wasn’t bad enough, it stopped working!! So that’s the main reason for my switch. The touch to mute is so sensitive, you don’t even have to touch it. It’s almost like it’s motion sensitive. My finger is legitimately a millimeter from the button and it activates. You’ll have lots of fun with it, I promise. Audio is a smidge better than my blue yeti. (Normal blue yeti) Please do yourself a favor and have a boom arm for this thing because the attached shock mount is plastic and isn’t too great but it actually does do wonders when it’s on a boom arm. On the stand it comes with…. not so good.

Truly a diamond in the rough
I have used many mics for over a decade, both dynamics and condensers, for various uses. Recording guitar, vocals, drums, etc. I've also recorded field ambient audio, podcasts, and audiobooks. What I have to say about this mic is this: This may not be the best mic available, but for the price, it is unbelievably good. If the price on this mic was $250/$200 (which I think is a reasonable price-point) then I might be little harsher with my review. The negative thing I can say about this microphone is that the windscreen does not halt popcorn peaks, so I had to put a pop-filter in front of it. After doing that, the audio is impeccable, even before editing. After editing, it sounds professional, easily comparable to the Shure MV7. Even at max gain, there is no obnoxious hiss or buzz. I've used the K658 for about 5 months, for podcasts, zoom meetings, audiobooks, and for various instruments like flute/djembe/harmonica. Before this mic, I was using a Yeti X, which I purchased for $180. I was perfectly happy with that microphone, but after using the K658 for a few days, I took the Yeti X off my boom arm, replaced it with the Fifine, and the Yeti X has remained in its case for 5 months straight. Under $100 for this? Get this microphone! You won't regret it!

Seems like an excellent microphone in terms of sound quality, but it's big and cumbersome
Let's start with the fact that Fifine microphones makes excellent high quality stuff, and they seem to be able to do it at reasonable prices, which is something very important to me. I either own or have owned two other Fifine microphones. One think I give away as a gift to someone who desperately needed a starter microphone. I have recommended Fifine microphones to numerous people. I helped one of my college professors choose the right Fifine to set herself up better for recording instructional videos and running classes over zoom. Perhaps I should explain here that I am physically disabled with very limited use of my hands. In fact I really can't use my computer, functionally, without a microphone. So I am what you might call "microphone dependent" I upgraded to this microphone because my previous cardioid mic, I'm forgetting the model number now was picking up too much background noise, even though it was cardioid. I think it was because it was a condenser microphone. This one which is dynamic in nature is much better at blocking out extraneous sounds. In fact it sometimes annoying because I forget how precisely positioned it should be for optimum performance. I guess I should also say that I am a working writer and that I use this microphone to dictate everything that I write, including this review. Overall this microphone is excellent in terms of function, in terms of design and appearance it could use some improvements. This microphone is rather large and cumbersome hanging from my boom arm. I wish it were at least a little smaller or more compact, in short a little more unobtrusive. Over video chat people keep commenting on the big microphone that I have and the fact that it sometimes blocks my face. They tease me that my set up now looks like I'm a professional radio announcer, doing a sports broadcaster something. But then they say that they can't see me well. When I'm writing and doing other work it also periodically blocks my view of certain parts of the screen, particularly along the right vertical edges, and I also have to frequently move it and the boom arm around to reach for stuff, like things I'm reading from. Certain friends of mine have also made a few obscene jokes about what it looks like. I don't know if it has to be this big, but I don't think so. One other thing, Fifine made it look quite sleek there are almost no visible markings on the my body itself. But this can be a bad thing when you're trying to adjust the gain knob. It could use a few clear markings both on the tube of the body and also the knob itself. There is hardly any indicator to show you where precisely the gain knob is pointed, and there is absolutely no clear scale to show you percentages of gain. In both gazes I had to add crude markings myself with the scratching tool, as a result the beautifully sleek body of my microphone now looks marred, and more than a bit ugly. This should not of been necessary. In conclusion I think that for most users this microphone probably leans in the direction of being overkill, and that most users can get away with a slightly less obtrusive microphone, if not a smaller one

Very nice!
We bought one of these for me and my boyfriend bought a well known brand - he ended up returning his mic for one of these because the quality is spot on. After fiddling with the settings, we can sit in the same small room and the mics will only pick up the sound directly in front of them - so, unless one of us is abnormally loud, we can game together and not be picked up by each other's mics. The drawback to these is you have to speak directly into it. We use mic arms and I keep my mic positioned low, basically underneath my chin pointed up at my mouth so it doesn't block my screen. He keeps his to the side, pointed sideways towards his mouth and sometimes if he isn't angled correctly, the mic won't pick his voice up. I speak pretty softly and this mic picks me up just fine. Love the touch to mute and the fact that it's green when ready and red when muted so you can visually see. RGB on/off has a touch sensor on the back as well. Overall, HIGHLY recommend these mics, especially for the price. The sound quality is crystal. Everyone always says we sound like we are on the radio it's so clear.

Best bang for buck Dynamic mic on the market
This thing is absolutely amazing to use. I already own a Blue Yeti, but I bought that when I still wasn't too familiar with mic specs, and a Dynamic mic suited me better, so here we are. Pros: Plug and play Although expected from a USB mic, nice to see it pick up just like that RGB cool Sound Sounds good for the price. Not as good as the Yeti, but with the noise rejection of being Dynamic, sound quality becomes better in comparison in my non-sound treated environment. A little EQ did the trick for any lacking qualities Shock mount Always a welcome edition Price The price to performance is outstanding to say the least. You're going to get much more than you paid for. And even setting that aside, it's a very unique product that satisfies the niche of "USB Dynamic streaming mic" Cons No software. This is a + in the plug and play aspect, but it's also a - since there's no software control over the sound. It's fine for video recording (just use VSTs), but there's no changing the sound for things like zoom. It also means the RGB is just going to be rainbow or nothing. In total, a very good mic that deserves it's 5 stars.

Best mic for its price range
If your looking for a great quality mic for a good price then this is the one. If you like condenser mics though, this won’t work due to it being a dynamic so keep that in mind. But the sound quality is great and the gain adjustment provides for accurate adjustments. The lighting on the back is also a nice touch but it isn’t customizable but it still looks awesome. The only thing I don’t like is that the stand would be better if it was a little taller and the mic won’t work for discord, now I’m not sure if it’s the mic or my computer but other mics work with discord but this one just doesn’t. Overall a great choice for someone who want a good dynamic mic but doesn’t want to bust out $600 for something like a shure SM7B with the price of this one being only $120 and as of now on sale for less than $80! 9/10 would definitely recommend

Amazing if you just know how to do some simple EQing!
Overall very happy with my K658! Amazing value and great sound quality. Massive fan of the Shure looking design and im happy i could get that design in a sub 100 dollar USB product with some extra flare with the RGB. A few things I personally found to be a small problem but none big enough to give this any less than a 5 star: -Windscreen that comes with this mic doesn't block plosives and the air coming from your mouth, small fix was i ordered the big windscreen that the Shure SM7B has, i suggest doing so if you care about blocking out the air and having clearer audio. -The gain knob is just a bit big, nothing very bad though. -Highly sensitive mic until you EQ it just right but can be tricky for those who don't know how to EQ a bit better. All and all highly happy with this product and these small cons should NEVER steer someone away from this mic. If you like the look of the shure sm7b, want a simple USB mic, and maybe a bit of extra RGB flare just buy and don't second guess!
