Perfect for the baker or soaper in your life. Holds approx. 40-45 ounces. This durable silicone mold has thick, reinforced sides to prevent bowing. This mold is perfect for creating 12 one-inch rectangular bars of soap with nice straight edges. Like most silicone molds, your cold process or hot process soap may need an extra day or two to fully harden since the flexible silicone sides do not allow air inside the mold, which results in slower evaporation of water and hardening of your soap. For melt and pour, you are able to take it out as soon as the soap is set Tip 1: If making Cold Process soap in this silicone mold we recommend adding Sodium Lactate to your recipe. This will help to harden up your soap so that there won't be any dents or finger marks when unmolding the soap. Tip 2: This mold may bow a little if filled all the way to the top. In our tests, leaving about 1/2" space from the top made unmolding easier and didn't bow the sides.
