Excellent dehumidifier, but not quiet
We live in a very old building and struggle every winter with the balance between increasing ventilation to reduce damp and keeping the place warm without spending a fortune (storage heaters, iykyk) This winter I finally made the decision to invest in a proper dehumidifier and we're very happy and would highly recommend.Overall: Great product which saves us money on heating, helps dry laundry rapidly, and hopefully will sort our problem with damp and mould! Though it costs a lot, in the medium term it will save us money on heating and less efficient types of dehumidifier / methods to get rid of humidity.Pros:- a few hours is enough to bring humidity down from 70% to 60% (which seems to be the key difference for our flat this time of year)- we can leave it on night-mode overnight and no longer wake up to streaming windows- the flat feels warmer because the air is dryer and we no longer have to let cold air in by opening the windows every time we cook or boil a kettle- laundry dries much quicker (the dryer air aids evaporation and the dehumidifier can be positioned so a stream of dry, slightly warm air blows the clothes)- it's cheap to run and we even save money because we can turn the heating down and keep the same temperature in the flat- could be my imagination but cooking smells don't seem to linger in less humid air- you can set it to achieve a certain humidity level and it automatically stops when the tank is full, so I feel confident leaving it to work away.Cons- it is louder than I expected. Certainly wouldn't call it "ultra quiet". My phone says it's at least 50db (even on low fan speed and across the room), not "<45". No way I could sleep with it in the same room. But I leave it on in the next room overnight and have no problems. Peltier or desiccant dehumidifiers can be quieter but (much) more extensive to run.- The unit looks great but, like with most dehumidifiers for some reason, the in-flow vent is at the back, meaning you have to pull it away from the wall which means it can sometimes be in the way. I don't know why they can't put the in-flow in the front or side of the unit (presumably they think its unaesthetic)- it obviously works best at warmer temperatures so can seem slow at temperatures around 13-17 degrees, which is what our flat often is in the depths of winter

Excellent does a great job
I bought this to replace my old dehumidifier I had for 10 years. Really impressed with this new one. Nice design, reasonably small and compact, easy to see humidity level with colour LED, plus gives actual reading of humidity level. Different modes and two different fan speeds. Although they are still quite loud even in sleep mode. Easy to empty. I would recommend

Fit for purpose
It's the second one I have bought. Good quality, good price. Ease of use and it really does the job, ie collects lots of water and low running costs. Also very quiet. Would recommend.

Makes a real difference
The unit is very compact, uses a small amount of power (180W) and is quiet is operation. We keep it in a closed room where the laundry goes out on racks to dry. Drying the laundry takes a few hours. It has meant that in the autumn season we can leave the heating off in the house for at least a month longer. When the unit is actively drying, i.e. there's plenty of moisture, it also kicks out a little heat too, which is a bonus. Walking into the room feels warmer than outside of the room.Initially I wished that it would kick in on a timer, to take advantage of our overnight cheap electric tariff. But actually it uses that little power it doesn't really matter. If you're thinking of buying one, then just go ahead, it's well worth it, just for comfort and convenience. When it's really damp in the air the tank needs emptying every few hours, but the unit will automatically stop when the tank is full.100% recommend
