Macherey-Nagel 92110 0-14 pH Indicator Strips 100/Box

These pH test strips are really easy to use. The color chart is clear and accurate, which makes it easy to read the results. They’re quick, mess-free, and reliable. I use them for my homemade products, and they’ve helped me adjust the pH correctly which is essential for skincare and proper preservation. I would definitely buy them again.

I have a quite acidic vegetable fertilizer (kept acidic for long term storage) and I wanted to bring it to roughly neutral pH using a potassium hydroxide (KOH) solution I made from powder, and needed to figure out how much KOH to add. As with all pH test strips, these are nothing like a pH meter, but it was easy to figure out how to get things in the neutral range using these strips. I work in a university research lab, and Macherey-Nagel is a good brand. I would pay considerably more buying it from one of the scientific supply houses than the Amazon price so I am happy with what I paid given these are high quality.

These trips are excellent for determining pH level of various liquidS. I first learned about these strips on a kimmaytube YouTube video. She creates natural here concoctions and tests the pH level. I too wanted to do the same so I purchased these for that purpose. I am able to create here lotions and moisturizers while testing the pH level to make sure that it seals my cuticles after each wash and just for periodic use throughout the day or week. In order to get even more use out of them are usually cut each strip into two or three thinner pieces. This is fast and to me exceptionally accurate. I'm so in love with pH testing and none of the other strips can really compare. I trust this brand the most.

These test strips preformed as expected, and they seem fairly accurate as far as I can tell. You can tell if it is one whole number or another, or perhaps in between, based on the colors. This product might not be good for people who are color blind since you do have to evaluate based on the colors/shades, but I'm not so they were easy enough to read. They work fast and you just flip the container to one side or the other to compare your strip to the pH level. If I ever need more of these, I will be reordering this product!

These are great strips with a fairly easy to read chart on the package to tell where your pH reading is. I took a star off at the packaging is due for an overhaul. The box that holds these is made of cheap acrylic and came cracked. It isnt a huge deal, but I will have to be extra careful over the lifecycle of these 100 strips. The actual product is well worth the price, though.

Beginning a natural hair journey requires focus and time to learn about your hair and how it responds to water, oils and both commercial and home-made DIY products. These strips have been an invaluable component to the successful reconditioning and appearance of my hair. Coming out of braids in June 2012, I had not concerned myself with my hair's texture or health in over a decade. Well, imagine my surprise when the braids came out. Use of these strips as a tool to measure the acid and alkalinity of everything I use in my hair the past three months. My hair is healthy, full of body, growing quickly and feels great every day. Knowing the pH of your hair products is mandatory to avoid dryness and breakage for all curly, kinky or coily hair.

I would guess that the resolution of the strips is probably plus or minus one pH value, but that works just fine for when you want you want a rough indication of acidity or alkalinity. Fast and easy. Would use again.

These pH papers are great. The results I get with these are always confirmed by my pH meter. The dyes never bleed. The only problem is that the results have to be taken with a grain of salt with testing solvents other than water. (But then I was surprised they work at all in say alcohol or dioxane.) Also, I am reg/green color-weak, but I can still use these with no difficulty except for the pH 0-1 range.

I use these strips in conjunction with my PH meter and the strips are always accurate. Obviously I can get a more precise reading with my ph meter, but these strips are handy when I don't need a precise reading.
