Great fun at night
Packaging:Comes in a nice basic box, nothing exciting. Gloves and shoelaces are in their own plastic bag, and a set of 4 spare batteries placed in-between them.Function/Quality:Although these come with 4 batteries ready to use, they also have batteries already in the gloves and laces too, which was a nice surprise. Pulling out the tag, and you're all set to use these. They light up rather well, and covers pretty much most of the hand too, I was expecting a couple of LEDS scattered around. Don't get these with the intention of hoping they will warm your hands too, they are a basic material, sufficient enough to be durable for this item, but not anything considered thermal, but that should be expected. If taken care of, id expect these to last a good while. Conclusion:Great for a party and for Halloween. The initial batteries lasted a good while on my boys, and they loved walking around with lit up shoe laces.

A bit of fun. But they also might be useful!
The media could not be loaded. A bit of fun for kids - a set of gloves and shoe laces that have LED lights in them that glow and flash in various patterns. They each come with a button battery installed in the small power-pack but they have also provided you with four spare NBA arteries for when those run out - which is generous. Each glove and shoelace is controlled (and powered) separately with a push switch that turns it on, then cycled you through the various flash pattern before eventually turning off again. The lights are bright and colourful and just good fun.My thought when I ordered them was as a stocking filler for a niece or nephew at Christmas but when my wife saw them she immediately came up with the idea of wearing them when she goes running in the early morning or evenings in the winter months when the daylight hours are that much shorter. So she’s kept them for that!Mind you, she has fairly slender hands, if I wanted to wear them, they’d be a bit of a squeeze for my big mitts! But they are intended for kids!My only negative about these is the nature of the switch. It would be better if the on/off switch were separate from the pattern-change switch and it were a toggle-type switch. With the on/of being controlled by a simple push switch, it is very easy to accidentally press down on the switch when putting the gloves away and set the lights going - meaning when you next come to get them out, the battery will have run down (maybe that’s why they give you the spare batteries!). I saw how easily this could happen; I looked at the gloves to take photos and write this review, turned the lights off and then put them back in their plastic bag and slid them back into the box. My wife then came over to ask what they were and, when I took them out of the box to show her, I found the gloves were busy flashing! Obviously, just the pressure of sliding them back into the box and closing it up has pressed the switch enough to turn them on. Not a deal breaker but, if you buy these, it’s something to watch out for when you store them away to avoid the disappointment of the kids finding, next time they want to play with them, that they don’t work.

Fun rather than practical but a nice stocking filler!
You receive in a giftable cardboard box: a pair of glove (5-9 years); a pair of shoelaces; a strip of four button batteries (CR2016); and an instruction manual. The gloves and shoelaces each take 2 button batteries (one per glove or shoelace), two of which are pre-installed in each, and you need to pull the tabs to engage; these are in addition to the strip of four button batteries. The gloves are white and relatively thin. These would not be practical or warm gloves for the autumn, winter and spring months; these are just for fun. In fact, they cannot be cleaned, only gently spot cleaned if absolutely necessary. In my opinion another colour such as black would have been a better colour for the flashing light and more practical in terms of keeping and looking clean. The gloves are quite uncomfortable to wear for long periods because of the wires connecting the battery pack to the fingers. They are very easy to use. To operate the flashing lights, you need to press the on/off button indicated by the sticker on the gloves. You can press the button multiple time to switch between different flashing modes. When taking off the gloves, it is recommended that you pull from the fingertips to avoid damaging the wires. For this reason, I would suggest this might not be suitable for some primary school age children. These gloves and shoelaces set is retailing at £12.99 (at the time of this Amazon Vine review) which seems fairly reasonable as long as you buy realising this is more of a toy than a practical pair of gloves (or shoelaces). This would make an ideal small gift for a children's birthday or a stocking filler at Christmas.
