Great fit and easy to install. Perfect accessory to upgrade your car

This dropped right into my 2021 CX5. The power cable that plugs into the cigarette lighter is a little short though which makes installing it a little bit of a challenge for adult sized hands to install but once I got it seated correctly it worked great. The only complaint I have about functionality is the USB plu is very tight so when go to unplug it, it pulls the entire unit out and since the power cable is a little short it will also unplug the unit as it lifts up but you won't realize it until you notice your phone hasn't been charging the entire time. Make the power chord a little linger and include some 3M tape to hold it down and this product would be a 10!

It’s a cool idea. I thought this would work since I wanted the wireless charge dock that the CX5 from the rental agency had. But this particular one overheats my wireless devices. I have tried several devices that are wireless charge compatible and it overheats them.

With the very mild vibrations of the car during normal driving the 12V lighter interface works itself loose and disconnects from the power supply. It's a pain to remove the unit and reconnect the power. Needs a design change to preclude this problem.

This fits TIGHTLY! It will take some time to get the cable plugged in and get this snug in place. But once it is, it looks like it was built into the car, all without having to cut or screw anything in place. It doesn't charge necessarily fast, but it keeps my phone charging slightly more than it discharges when using Android Auto, which is perfectly fine in my opinion. I'd rather it not be a fast wireless charger that constantly overheats itself and my phone. The included USB charging port is nice, though I myself haven't used it. The little cubby in the middle is great for small temp storage when taking my ring holder off my phone to put it on the wireless pad.All around a great product that I definitely recommend if you are wanting Wireless Charging in your Maxda CX-5!

Works perfect and fits perfect in my 2024 CX5.Easy to install.I will say I did notice my phone did get hot one day it was on there and almost fully charged.

Very much plug and play. I Instinctually put the car in drive with my foot on the break for installation. The cord to the cigarette charger is short so if it pulls out just angle the unit to the right and reach in and push it in. Literally just slides right in!Seems to work well day one, phone sat on charger (android) for over 20 minutes and saw no overheating issues.Keep in mind that wireless chargers arent the fastest. 20 minutes got me about 10%, which is perfect for me!Will update if anything changes!
