This has worked perfectly for my Betta. The suction is not strong enough to pull his fins in. The waterfall does send him for a loop but he avoids it.

Worked for ONE HOUR! Then shut off and won't work. I have owned this type of filter before and it worked for ONE YEAR with no issues. This must be a factory reconditioned filter. Such a shame! Now my frogs are sitting in dirty water with no filter.

I got the Cascade 80 for my 10 gallon betta tank to replace my somewhat noisy and space-hogging Whisper filter. Upon installation, it seems to be working just fine. Next to no noise and minimal space usage. However, the flow adjustment, which I had specifically picked the Cascade for, doesn’t seem to work. I turn the knob, and absolutely nothing happens, which is unfortunate. My betta requires a low-flow filter. The current is a little too strong for him, though admittedly it’s better than my previous filter. Pretty good product, just one malfunctioning feature.

Before the filter we had to clean the tank every 3 days. it has been two weeks and the water is still clear.

I felt like this unit ran well while I used it; although, it was not used for a fish tank. My thought was to build a water fountain for my cat. It worked great, and I was able to fix any slight hiccups it had, e.g. sometimes the propeller had to be pulled out and dropped back in after washing and putting it back to together.

So we have a few of the cascade filters. So far so good. The 20 wasn’t filtering our 5.5 gallon that great so when I saw the 80 “used but great condition” for $12 figured I’d give it a shot. It came today. It’s cracked inside near the motor. It’s not even usable. It’s so not worth the risk. I’d be fine if it was used and in “great condition” like it stated but it’s damaged. So it’s going back. Just a warning to others who think of taking the risk. I will state this too. Our first cascade 20 came cracked as well it was definitely still usable but I didn’t want a cracked filter. So they sent us a replacement.

This filter is great for a Betta tank. The flow is more like a stream and doesn’t push me betta around.

Placé dans un aquarium de 10 gallons, l'eau était toujours trouble et il y avait beaucoup de matières en suspension. Ce filtre n'arrive pas à filtrer l'eau convenablement et les cartouches sont à changer souvent. Je suis revenu à Aquaclear et la différence s'est fait sentir en seulement 4 heures. Extrêmement déçu.

Flowing very strong so far. Very easy to setup!

The motor just died after 2 months. It's bad luck I guess.
