Essential Soup Cookbook: Comforting, Hearty Favorites

Lots and lots of very intriguing recipes. Excited to try them out.

We enjoy having soup year round, and decided to give this cookbook a try. What is best about it is, the soups are easy to make and fantastic! We have made the Pork Pozole Verde, Miso Soup, Slow Cooker Shoyu Ramen minus the pork (we like our Ramen meatless), and Lentil and Red Pepper Soup. Looking forward to trying more of the recipes.

Lots of good recipes in this book. They are easy to follow and don't require a lot of strange ingredients that you can't find in the grocery store. I'm happy with it.

Tasty and easy to make. A beginner can handle these, but as a cook of 50+ years, I still found it helpful.

I didn't like the feel of the pages in the book. It seemed like poorly recycled paper, and I had no idea I would be buying a cookbook with recycled pages. It made it feel second-hand. I thought the actual comforting recipes were few and far between. I love to cook, and I thought that the recipes were mediocre. There were just a couple that looked classic and comforting.

The variety of soups is amazing. The tips after each recipe are so helpful. I am going to take a giant leap for me and make the soup that uses miso and an Asian seaweed ingredient. Who knows? Maybe it will become a favorite.
