These traps are very effective, It helps to position them correctly.
These traps work great, and are easy to use and clear. I have bought many of them over the years. as I have had some fail to trigger after many uses. I will buy them again as the older ones quit triggering. Some years ago I found how to position them correctly for the best result. Place the trap so that the trigger is facing the wall, see the attached photo. As the mice run along the wall (which they do), many times the trap will trigger even without bait.

Works great and clean!
I have been using these for a month and they are doing so good of a job that I am struggling to keep them baited and set! Very clean and effective, even on medium-sized rodents.

Easy, effective mousetrap
Love this mouse tray. It is so easy to bait and set. Does what it is designed for, catches mice.

Terrible traps
I avoid writing negative reviews, but these deserve one. We put down twelve traps, using the same bait we've used successfully with other traps. Over the course of a week half of the traps simply snapped and broke spontaneously. (Mice weren't interested in them at all -- we had cams set up so we could observe -- but that could have been a fluke and isn't what I'm complaining about here.)My understanding is that these used to be excellent traps. The materials have evidently been cheapened to the detriment of the product's performance.

Great traps
With the colder weather comes the inevitable mice finding their way into my house. I’ve been using these traps for years. They’re great. While the advertising seems to be geared towards single-use and “no touch disposal”, I’m not too squeamish as to grab the mouse by the tail and dispose of it whence it came. That allows me to re-set the trap and get the next critter. These traps usually be re-used a number of times before the mechanism starts failing to trigger reliably, at which point I get new traps. It is sometimes a bit tricky to get the bait into the bait dish (I use peanut butter) without getting it on other parts of the trap. But again, the traps work great for the mice that I encounter. I’ll definitely keep using them.

The TomCat is the better mousetrap humanity has been trying to build for centuries.
I own about 20 of these and have used them for the past 5 years or so.I use them in the attic of a 200+ year old New England house to eradicate the annual mouse infestation which occurs every Autumn as the weather changes. These outperform the humane electric traps, roller traps, etc. by a ratio of 20:1. The first time I used these was after I had placed the old traditional traps for a week and caught no mice. Next, I put out four of these TomCats and had four dead mice the next morning. These just plain work better than any other mouse trap in my experience. They are billed as disposable, but I find that I can use each one for 5-10 catches before the locking mechanism wears out.Of course you will get the occasional live mouse caught by just its foot or pelvis. Happens 5-10% of the time in my experience, but you will get no less with traditional wood and metal traps. The TomCat traps are easy to tether (prevents mice from scurrying away if caught only by a foot) as each one has a hole in the handle.I recommend these strongly without any reservation whatsoever.

These things are the bomb! Great product
Easy to set, easy to toss the deceased into the neighbors yard and deadly. Usually gets the critter before it consumes all the bait (peanut butter) unless the second mouse cleans it up... beware, mice are cannibals so you may only have part of a mouse to chuck.
