but after a few hundred dollars and multiple days off work to heal it left my nose looking worse. i was desperate to find someth
I have had a chicken pock scar right on the end of my nose since I was eight years old. I've been self conscious about it for as long as I can remember. No matter how much I try to live an enlightened life and try to accept it, I can't. I gave in a couple years ago and tried to have it lasered and subcised (sp?) a couple of times. but after a few hundred dollars and multiple days off work to heal it left my nose looking worse. i was desperate to find something, anything to cover this problem as it was in such a conspicuous spot on my face. I came across this stuff on the internet and decided to try it. I am soooooo glad I did. I will use this stuff on my scar (hopefully) the rest of my life. For me and my particular scaring, Dermafledge is perfect. I take that back, it's not perfect. It lasts no where near as long as it says it does. Frays around the edges at the 6 or 7 hour mark now matter how well you put it on. But a little hairspray around the edges can make it last a few more hours. No, it's not water proof, can't wear make up over it, takes practice "getting it right" and is NOT cheap. But for the first time in my life I can be around people I know, met new people, be face to face with customers at work or in social situations ALL DAY long with out constantly (in the back of my mind) be thinking that all they see is my scar. And that to me is worth all the negative things about this product. there are plenty of good things too: One applicator lasts a while, anyone can find a good shade for their skin color I'm sure and with practice it only takes about 3 MINUETS! to apply, if I get it right the first time (which I usually do now). You don't even need makeup cause it looks very natural, maybe a little underneath if you want. Product is exactly what I had been looking for for a long time. I'm not a review writer. Only because I want this product to still be around 20 years from now did I write this review.

Doesn't work
I have a pretty bad cratered scar from singles on my forehead and after reading some of the reviews about how hard it is to make it work - I was still hopeful that maybe after a few trial and error - I can get a hang of it. But no - I tried 5 times - and besides dealing with a mess everytime - I still couldn't get it to work. My skin is getting a little irritated after so many trials. But maybe I'll try again in a couple of days. Will update this post if I am successful :(

Practice makes perfect!
Practice definitely makes perfect with this product! It took me a while to get the hang of it but now I don't leave home without it. I have an enlarged pore on my forehead and use Dermaflage to lightly patch it up. Once the product leaves the dispenser, you have about a minute or so to get it on before it sets. I apply the gel with the tip of the wand they provided, smooth it out with the other end and then lightly dab my finger on it once it's semi-dry. Lightly dabbing your finger on the mixture helps the surface set, without the slight skin imprint from your finger, the dried result can be shiny or silicon looking. I also prefer to use a ratio 2 parts skin color product to one part of the clear product because it gives me slightly more control during the drying process. It stays on for 2 days, sometimes longer and it's waterproof.I've found that applying makeup over it after it's set is a big mistake. It draws more attention to the product and looks fake. Instead, I lightly dust it with face powder using a large brush so it's distributed lightly and evenly. This keeps oils away from the gel and makes it last longer.Since this is for scars and everyones are different, it might take some practice but in my opinion, it was well worth it. I'm no longer self conscious about my enlarged pore.

Covers scars well but not well enough
Covers scars well but starts to peel part way through the day even when primer is used. If used on a part of the face where there is a lot of movement it cracks off the skin so I have to peel it off. If I want coverage all day long it becomes rather expensive. I used to use a product called Mirage Fill that was far superior but unfortunately they went out of business :(

Very good product
This is a very good product however a little pricey. I wish it was cheaper or had a discount if you bought more than one but they don't so due to the price I had to stop buying them.

With practice it works AMAZING!
You MUST FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS! I’ve used this product for years, anyone who says it doesn’t work isn’t following the directions. Here are some tips:1) Put your makeup on first2) Buy and use the primer3) Use VERY small amounts (like pencil lead size)4) Apply within 15 seconds of mixing (mix multiple batches separately if you have multiple spots so you’re not going over the 15 seconds)5) Cover with the texturizing silicone pad for at least 30 seconds.6) If you need makeup to correct the coloring, dab a very tiny amount in the center and spread outward (stay away from the edges)Search YouTube for tips if you still can’t get it! It’s a great product if applied correctly.

Another Waste of Money
I wish I could give this zero stars. I don't know how anyone could go out in public wearing this product. I have tried putting it on without make-up, over make-up, with/without moisturizer, and with their recommended primer. It is a mess. First of all, it takes several attempts to get the right amount of product to fill the area without putting too much, resulting in a patch of skin that is raised. Then if you don't put enough you have to reapply or add more, once again, resulting in an uneven patch of skin. Then if you so happen to get the right amount, it doesn't stay on or it has a shiny plastic look. To reduce the shine, I dusted a little translucent powder on it, resulting in....you guessed it.....a mess. Don't be fooled by all of the Youtube videos that demonstrate how easy and wonderful this product is. Also, if you buy this product, be prepared to fork out more money to buy the texturizing pad because they do not include it.
