Monster Jamz Headphones with ControlTalk (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

I wanted to love these.....my first pair arrived with a sound defect (the right earbud was markedly quieter than the left) and sometimes when the cord moved it would act as it's own track control and either pause the music or advance to the next song. I tried a second pair and it still had similar problems. My non-ControlTalk Turbines will remain my favorite. These also seemed almost heavier to wear than the Turbines, and much less comfortable. I wanted a more portable pair than the Turbines for office use, so I went with the Lil Jamz.....they are a little less full in sound than the Jamz, but much more comfortable.I can get a good seal with the Turbines, but these just kept wobbling no matter what I tried (I don't like Comply foam, but have switched out the Monster buds for the Sony hybrid silicone ones in the past successfully - did not work with this set).The Monster sound is really great, but the little issues keep me from enjoying the entire line.

Earphones are significantly better than the white ear buds which come with an iPod, but given what I had heard about these I was a bit let down.I had heard excellent bass response and find this to be a key weakness, a bit flat here.Compared to the Etymotic earphones they replaced which were not particularly bass heavy, these have less.

it was good while they lasted, when sweat got in there it blowout the left ear. has a strong metal housing, they are not fakes, like the control talk features, i have an iphone and it works well. recommenf for those who wont use then for gym or work might stop working because of sweat.
