I've bought other, name brand, plastic coated, cable locks in the past. They had an odd odor that NEVER went away. I even painted them, and the smell came through after the paint dried.These locking cables were nice and clean and did not have a smell.

This is a fine enough cable, but the end caps are not tight. I'll try melt them or wrap with electric tape. Not a big problem, but keeps it from 5 star

I use this to lock up backpack blowers in the bed of my truck. I previously had a masterlock cable, roughly 6 ft. It was really stiff. I really like this cable as it is more flexible. Time will tell to see how it holds up. The most important part with this is trying reduce theft, this isn't bullet proof. It will help definitely deter.

I use this to lock bikes when on a bike rack attached to my vehicle. I loop the cable through the frame and one end through the chain connection points on my hitch receiver. The loop is small enough to pass through the chain connector point with some effort. The end result is that the bikes are locked to the vehicle.

To secure a boat

It’s a good cable and so far I have no problems. I don’t know about durability because I’ve only had it a short time.
